Logitech does not carry any parts other then receiver replacement for the public. If you call the corporate office and ask for a product specialist. DO NOT FOLLOW THE PROMPTS TO SUPPORT GET A HUMAN ON THE LINE. If they direct you back to tech support and not to the specialist for the part, ask the tech if it is possible to send an email on your behave to the specalist for the part your looking for, they should get your name, address, phone and email and start the process. If the specialist has the part he will send it to you if not then back to square one.

How to disassemble Logitech V450 wireless mouse. Need to repair battery contacts damaged by battery leak. Thank you.

Press the button on the bottom to remove the battery cover. near the LED light there is a screw (should be the only screw you see) Remove that screw.
The next part is a little tricky. The LED light has a stem and the buttons slide into tabs. So pull up at the LED until the clear stem is free and then slide the buttons forward.3_24_2013_7_42_22_pm.jpg

Poor battery life with Logitech V450 cordless mouse

The problem is likely in the software (drivers), assuming that you are using quality batteries (those manufacturer's specs are based on top-shelf, fresh-off-the-truck alkaline batteries).

When you replaced the first set of batteries, the absence of a mouse caused the receiver to search, and having found none, it's common for the driver to reset to default settings.

The Logitech driver is the first suspect; go to Control Panel, Logitech Mouse...Driver Properties... Look for the "Auto-off" setting, and change it to 10-30 mins (or the lowest setting you can live with)...What you're looking for is the driver that has reverted to "never" in the auto-off setting...and if that isn't changed here, then it was Windows.
You'll have to tunnel a bit to get to this one, but it's not as hard as it looks.

The second suspect is the Windows driver; For Win XP, from the Control Panel, go to "Mouse"...or for Win-7 go to Control Panel- Devices and Printers, Hardware- and choose "Mouse" from the text links.

From the new menu, choose the "hardware" tab, and the "Properties" button near the bottom.
The new menu page has a text area that states "This device is working properly", and under that is a button labeled "Change Settings"...Click it.
Click the radio button labeled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"...and you're done.

Click the "OK" buttons to close the menu sets.

Lost connection between mouse and receiver not listed on logitech site for this model to reconnect down support. v450 nano laser mouse.

The set point program that came with the mouse should have an option to allow you to reconnect the mouse.

Try opening up setpoint and seeing if the option is there for you.

The batteries are in the mouse, But it won't turn on.

I assume the batteries are good and installed in the correct manner? Plus side of battery to the plus side of the holder. If this is so then try the reset switch on the USB dongle and the mouse. If this still doesn't turn it on then it's gone bad. Good Luck
