I think there is a need of dusting the RAM and DIMM socket. Do the following steps:-
1. Open the cabinet
2. remove the RAM
3. Clean the DIMM socket(RAM socket)
4. Place the RAM again
5. Power on your computer.

When you power up the computer check your smps fan is running then check key bord num lock key is it on and off when u press numlock key?
if it on and off then your computer is ok it should be screen resolution isssue.
For that when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode then go to control panel and dispaly settings then change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
If it not works then open cpu cover and refix RAM.
also pull cmos cell from mother bord for 15 minute so all settings are reset to factory defaults.
then again put cmos cell in its position then check.

Green power supply light blinking, computer won't start.

A lot of those E-Machines used a small power supply (150 to 180 watts) and were known to have a failure rate. There is a way to check them by jumping across a two connector wires on the end that plugs into the Motherboard. Let me know if you want try this.

Green light blinking on back of my system unit but there is no power

I had this problem and i tried everything to make it work. Now all i do is put a hairdryer at the back whilst the computer is plugged in until the light stops flashing then switch on as normal. I also noticed that when the air is warm i do not have to use the hairdryer hopes this helps.

Flashing green power light - Black screen

I had the same problem with an AOPEN 17' lcd that was left behind at a rental property... I plugged it into my dell dimmension 4400 in place of my old analog. It worked fine the fist night, and got up and when turned it on again it had the famed green blinking power light. I switched back to the analog, and just disappointed I plugged in the AOPEN to another power source, and power came on a steady red light. I plugged it back into the puta and it came on again. I have not turned the monitor off again for fear of the blinks, and has been working great for close to a week now. Hope it helps someone else out there. Richard

Similar monitor, similar problem. I actually had to dismantle the thing and replace a transistor on the mainboard.

If you're not into soldering and such, good luck.
