WTF? Why asking in cars and trucks?

The proper name is united States of America and yes the u in united is lowercase because the States were the ones who created it. America is a Constitutional Republic. It is not a democracy since democracies always revert to mob rule. It is a Republic which means we elect representatives. And unlike other Republics ours has a Constitution which guides how it will be governed. But really what does all that have to do with keyboards and mice? The founding fathers had harpsicords and mice.

That depends on what you mean by state. There are states inside countries, but they are not independent states: United States of America, United States of Mexico, Federated States /landers in Germany. Federated Provinces in Canada, in India, In Pakistan, Australia, Republics inside Republics in Russia, etc.
As regards the independent states visit the United Nations website for a list of nations. Switzerland is not part of the UN, and neither is Taiwan (Republic of China)

There is no zip for united states, there is different zips in every state in america, same with the philappines . On gps, you just show united states, then town or city in that state you want.
