Take it to a high end camera store that is familiar with digital cameras (being Fuji authorized wouldn't hurt) and get a quote for the repair. Is it still under warranty? How did a hair get inside a sealed unit? Has it always been there? Again, if it is still under waranty it may be covered for the removal. Contact Fujifilm USA.

I think this model doesn't have an interchangable lens like the SLRs.

Have you cleaned to sensor on the camera? The sensor is located behind the mirror. Be very careful . Read your manual on how to do this. Most camera store will clean the sensor for you for a price. You can do this on your own but be careful not to scratch the sensor.

You can't. Your camera is not a DSLR with removable lens capability. If the hair spoils your shots, then you need service at a repair facility.

Smudge showing up in view finder and on photo PowerShot SX210

Is there a visible smudge on the front element of the lens? If so, you can use a LensPen or cleaning cloth from the photo department of your favorite store.

There is the possibility that there is fungus growing inside the lens elements of the camera. Humidity can allow this to happen over time with camera lenses as well.

If you have fungus inside the lens, you may need to check with a repair shop... buying a new camera may be in your future.

A small hair or similar has got inside the lens of my G9. It shows up in the lighter part of pictures. Is this repairable?

Try to look if it is in the outside of the lens, you could remove it with a lens cleaner, if you can't see the strand of hair, take it to a camera shop to get it cleaned.

Yes, you can clean. Not as complex as I originally thought.
1) Remove all of the silver screws
2) Separate the silver case (should split in 2)
3) Remove the 3 black screws in the middle
4) remove the center square cover that is over the lens
5) Use a duster spray to clean the lense and mirror
6) Reassemble in reverse order
Not knowing what I was going to get in, the entire process only took about 7-10 minutes.

If you switch lenses and the hair is still appearing on your pictures, it is quite possible you have an actual hair or thread or something located in the camera body in the way of the sensor. Remove your lens and visually examine the inside of the body for debris. Stay clear of the sensor and the mirror, but you can use tweezers to remove an obvious foreign object. You can also command your mirror to stay up and out of the way (see the camera setup menu "mirror lock up") for closer examination. It's best to use a bulb type squeeze blower to blow out debris from inside the camera. Do an internet search on "rocket air blower" and you'll see what I mean. Blowing air from your mouth can introduce moisture.

Black Smudges on Photos

Nice examples of foreign material (dust/hair/etc) on ccd sensor. Camera needs professional cleaning to properly remove this. Shop here charges $45 for digital slr, but point-n-shoot might cost a little more because camera has to be disassembled to get to ccd.

K100D Problem

Remove lens, locate silver vertical pin inside of mounting ring on left side as you are looking at camera. Lightly slide black plastic piece which is on the vertical pin downward; if it will go downward remount lens and try camera. If plastic piece will not go down, lightly slide it up and then down and now remount lens and try camera. My guess is that either that component is sometimes stuck or that it may have become mispositioned while removing and replacing a lens.

Need to clean mirror or lens

The particel or hair is probably on the IR filter glass that sits over the sensor. You could try puting the shutter on bulb. If you then remove the lens and hold the shutter release you will be able to see the filter glass and possibly be able to remove the particle with a blst of compressed air. Do this in a cleanish room or you will make things worse.
