Here are some possible reasons why the water in your Lavazza Jolie Pod Coffee Machine leaks out of the machine and no coffee comes out of the coffee pod:
The water tank is not filled properly. Make sure that the water tank is filled to the correct level. The water level should be between the minimum and maximum marks on the water tank.
The coffee pod is not inserted properly. Make sure that the coffee pod is inserted into the machine properly. The coffee pod should be inserted all the way into the machine until it clicks into place.
The coffee pod is clogged. If the coffee pod is clogged, the water will not be able to flow through the pod and into the cup. Try using a different coffee pod or try cleaning the coffee pod.
The machine is not descaled properly. If the machine is not descaled regularly, it can build up calcium deposits, which can prevent the water from flowing through the machine properly. Try descaling the machine with a descaling solution.
The machine is defective. If you have checked all of the above and the problem persists, then the machine may be defective. In this case, you will need to contact Lavazza customer support for further assistance.
Here are some additional tips that might help:
Use fresh, cold water. Stale or warm water can affect the taste of the coffee.
Use a good quality coffee. Cheap coffee beans can make the coffee taste bitter.
Grind the coffee beans to a medium-coarse grind. A too fine grind can make the coffee taste bitter, while a too coarse grind can make the coffee taste weak.
Clean the coffee machine regularly. A dirty coffee machine can make the coffee taste bitter.

If the water that comes into contact with the coffee grounds is too hot, you will extract bitter elements from the coffee. The water should not be boiling when poured on the coffee grounds. Coffee oils, fats and sediment are the natural parts of the coffee bean that causes bitterness by forming as the brew ages. The longer the coffee sits the stronger it tastes.

The origin of the coffee bean comes down to a matter of
personal taste. Taste varies not only
from country to country, but from specific regions within that country.
i too had this problem BUT it was AFTER i descaled it and did the cleaning, now coffee tastes weak, and ive tried different discs (other coffees) and all come up weak.
It can be 2 problems:
1Too big granulation of grinded coffee(in this case we have cup filled fast and we have yellow and thin cream or traces of it) Adjust the grinding
2 Filter holders filter(where you put grinded coffee is broken) sometimes it brakes at curves and it is hard to see, wash it and inspect it carefully. if it is broken replace
I have never seen one and I have used several Mr. Coffees over the years. I think a metal strainer would be a problem as you would have to clean it every day to get the granules out of the little holes. The paper ones are extremely cheap and you throw it away after every pot.
It sounds like you might be missing your sprayhead. If you remove the filter basket and look up above it, there should be a dome piece with 5 holes in it. If not, please call customer service with the model and date code and we can provide you with a new sprayhead.
