Replace the power supply. it has enough power to start the colorwheel, fans, and to charge the ballast for the light, but as soon as the dmd chip turns on, it's just enough to overbear the ps.

Hi, I have a Infocus Projector, Model # LP70, serial # begins with ACAN. The projector only has 951 hours on the bulb. The unit powers on and I get the Infocus startup screen. as soon as I turn on a video...

I think it is the time to remove the cover and check for air filters blocked with dust.
When this happens, air doesn't flow freely through the projector and result in overheating, which leads to automatic shutdown.

if you are talking about the ribbon connection on the rear of the main board, then yes I would scrap it unless you want to try and find a LP70 on E-bay to use for parts. You may or may not get a good board but if the price is under 50 bucks it may be worth the risk.

Light does not come on, fan is working and green light at top keeps blinking off and on on a LP70 infocus projector

if you hear a high-pitched whir, the problem is either the ballast or the lamp. if you don't, it's the colorwheel. you could try to get the parts from an infocus service center or send it in to them for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

InFocus LP70 projector is running hot

clean the dust out of it with canned air. the dust keeps in the heat that the projector is trying to expell. it also shortens the life of the lamp.

Have you tried another lamp? Sometimes thats your problem, but I've seen a several occasions that the a defective power supply causes this symptom. Do you see an image flicker before the projector shutsdown? I do have some spare parts for this projector.

I'm on Ebay - gtitubro if you want to contact me through there.

InFocus LP70 color problem

try resetting the settings to factory default through the menu. if there's still a problem, take the cover off. if you look from the back of the machine, inside on the bottom left, you'll see the main board attached by a large white plug. use something thin and non-metalic to push the bottom of the board towards the plug to tighten it. now do the same to the other side of the plug. this should solve it. if it doesn't, you need to replace the main board.

Cannot see computer displyed on output of infocus screen shot

Many laptop computers do not automatically turn on their external
video port when a projector is connected. On many laptops, the activation function key is labeled with an icon or the text CRT/LCD.

Try the Function Key with the Icon of a monitor to enable the external video port.

If that does work, look at the settings on the projector using the buttons on the top.

Check the "Default Source"

Default Source toggles among Computer 1 analog, Computer 1 digital, Computer 2, and Video. This determines which source the
projector checks first for active video during power-up. Highlight
Default Source and click the left or right mouse button to toggle
among the options.
