I need a calibration manual specifically for the "Avanti 928 treadmill".
I need to calibrate the incline as my treadmill presently has me in training for a sprint up Mt Everest when set at 0! Thanks.

My treadmill is an "Avanti 928" swing arm suspension system. If I hold the stop button while inserting the safety key I get a different screen that continually flashes the numbers 0 - 9 in sequence. I can stop it on a number if I press different present program buttons. I have tried a lot of different combinations of pressing and/or holding buttons after this but am having no success. I really need someone who is familiar with this type of treadmill that I purchased in Australia.

    Hardware :
    Netcomm modem NB9WMaxx 192.168.1.1
It has wireless however i have a ethernet cable 40m to the front of the house.
I thought i would use a DLink DWL 900AP+ v3.02 there to use on my laptop.
I have the DLINK Disc -installed installation software.
    Cannot access 192.168.0.50
The access point works fine however i need to be able to set a password on the accesspoint for security reasons.

Not sure what this has to do with your treadmill question, but you probably want to access 192.168.0.1 instead of .50

Give that a try, it should give you the interface for your access point.

Thanks

The calibration mode can be helpful to you if, for instance, your treadmill gets stuck in a non-zero incline position with the power off (happened to us once) Calibration Mode This console has a calibration mode to assist the technician in troubleshooting. To enter this mode, press and hold the Stop and Speed A buttons while inserting the safety key. Level 1 - This level displays how the console has been configured to operate. It also displays the numerical value of each button as it is pressed.
TIME (Left Y2.) - Minimum PWM speed signal ‘6’
TIME (Right %x) - Button Test Values
SPEED- Maximum Speed '10'
CALORIES- Roller size: ‘2.5'
DISTANCE- Software code version
Level 2- This level is used to calibrate the incline and speed of the treadmill. To calibrate incline, press either Incline button. The treadmill will calibrate itself. To calibrate speed, press and hold the Speed A button until the Distance window displays an 85% speed signal. Adjust the MAX SPD pot on the controller until the Speed window displays 10.0. Press Speed V and allow the treadmill to come to a complete stop.
TIME- Internal Test. EP2P-pass, EF2F=fail
SPEED- Actual speed of the treadmill.
CALORIES- Maximum Incline level '10'
DISTANCE- Current PWM speed signal (%)
Level 3- This level lights each LED on the console in order. The Speed buttons control the speed of the lighting pattern. Incline A and Incline (down) toggles rows and columns on and off. Start restarts the cycle and toggles all LEDs on and off.
Level 4- This level displays the total Time and Distance of the treadmill. It also shows the current units of measurement.
TIME- Total time in hours
SPEED- Units: 'E'=English, `m'=metric
CALORIES-'d' if Demo mode turned on, else blank
DISTANCE- Total distance in miles
Level 5- This level allows a functional test to be performed on the treadmill. The console will show different information:
TIME- Elapsed Time
SPEED- Target Speed
CALS- Current speed signal %
DIST.- Actual Speed
Please do rate the solution. Thank you for using fixya.keep updated. thanks

These steps should help...

Step 1: Before putting the magnetic key on, push the stop button key along with the speed up key and hold.
Step 2:Place the magnetic key on the treadmill and release the keys. At this point you should get a screen you don't normally see.
Step 3:To calibrate the speed settings hit the stop key once. Push the speed up key until the console reads 85 in the display. At this point your treadmill will run to its maximum speed. It should read within .2 mph either way to be calibrated correctly. If it does not then you or a technician will need to adjust the speed pot on the motor controller.
Step 4:After performing the maximum speed calibration, it is important to hit the speed down button to close out of the speed calibration process. Otherwise you could receive an error reading on the console.

Thanks
Smith

Not incline or declining

I expect there is a limiter switch that tells the treadmill when it has reached its maximum elevation. The switch is probably either malfunctioning or broke.

Sportsart treadmill error 7

ERR7 Definition: The display board main IC didn't receive the incline variable resistor (VR) value, or the value exceeds the set range. Explanation: The incline VR voltage changes as the incline motor operates, and the display board CPU uses the VR voltage to calculate the incline position. Without this value, the CPU cannot instruct the incline motor what to do, so ERR? appears. Or when the incline set is out of alignment, the VR value exceeds the set range.

The following is a list of possible solutions:

1. Incline Set a) Inspect whether the Incline ERR LED on the drive board lights. This LED indicates that the incline set has exceeded the range. b) Inspect whether the incline set mechanically exceeds range. On DC incline motors, at the 0% position, the line on the thin incline pipe will not align with the end of the thick pipe. On AC motors, at the 0% position, the red line will not appear even with the bottom of the incline window in the incline set. See Incline Troubleshooting Manual for details. c) Inspect whether the incline VR voltage exceeds the range: Put multimeter probes on the incline VR set blue and green wire connectors, while keeping the wires connected. Refer to Incline Troubleshooting Manual for the voltage range for your treadmill. If the incline range is exceeded, either mechanically or electronically, calibrate the incline set. Refer to the Incline Calibration in the Incline Troubleshooting Manual for directions. If the incline set cannot be calibrated electronically, replace the incline VA. If the incline set is stuck and cannot be unstuck, replace the whole incline set. 2. Drive Board Inspect incline voltage on the blue and green wires at the drive board. If voltage is within range, and ERRl appears, inspect drive board component connections and components for wear. 3. Ribbon Cable Inspect ribbon cable for breaks. Inspect connections at the display and drive boards. 4. Display Board Inspect IC connections. Push down to secure connections. Re-insert les.

The incline and the decline seem to be in reverse on my treadmill and it will not go down all the way

please RUN the software calibration for easy diagnostic and fix it.
Go under the HOOD motor, and see the steps or see the attached steps.

The Steps for Newer Style Console Calibration:
  1. Locate the calibration area on the rear or underside of the console (a hole, near the console's center, that goes through to the electronics board. (This hole should not have a screw in it.)
  2. Insert a pencil (eraser end), into the hole and feel around for the cal button (will click when pressed).
  3. Press the button 2 times (with the pencil eraser). The first click should show CL11 in the console, the second click should show CL21.
  4. If the process was done correctly, and CL21 appears in the console, you are in "calibration mode." The next few steps consists of pressing buttons on the console and observing settings. This will not require any other tools.
  5. Press ENTER. CL22 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  6. Press ENTER. CL23 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  7. Press ENTER. CL24 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  8. Press ENTER. CL25 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  9. Press ENTER. CL26 should display in the TIME window. You should then see the letter "E."
  10. Press ENTER. You should see "SS" or "55" in the console.
  11. Push the STOP/START button. For safety, at this point, you should step off, or be off, the treadmill.
  12. Push the ENTER button. The walking belt should start to move, accelerate to maximum speed, then stop on its own.
  13. When the belt stops, the incline should self test by raising to its highest incline position, then lowering back down to its lowest position.
  14. Once the incline test is complete, push the POWER button 2 times. The unit should shut off and the console should go completely blank. If this happens, the treadmill is done calibrating and is ready for use.
If the letter "F" appears in the SPEED or INCLINE window when the power button is pressed 2 times, the treadmill is indicating a failure somewhere either in the SPEED or INCLINE (depending on the window the "F" appeared in). Troubleshooting the failure would be the next step.

When starting my treadmill the incline just starts all by itself, all the way up, sounds like it would keep going if it could, then it declines, its stuck in this loop. the belt never starts and I cannot...

This sounds like the treadmill is running an incline calibration. It will run to fully inclined, then to minimum incline.
It should not do this every time you want to operate the machine, but they will do it automatically if the operation of the machine is stopped by the power being interrupted..

Incline stuck @ 10 but reads as if it's on 0 incline. doesn't want to decline

I don't know what model you have, but on some treadmills in the front there is an adjustment by a t-bit screw for calibration. You may want to try and unplug it and have someone hold the incline button while you replug it. Sometimes the program gets a glitch and a fresh restart from being unplugged corrects it. If you could list your model and brand I could be more detail specific.
