I would back up your files into a external hard drive, then use the recovery cd's that came with the machine or a windows installation cd to reinstall windows to the computer.

Since you are starting fresh this way, your computer performance will be like it was when it was new.

After the windows setup if you used the windows installation cd, you will need to download the drivers for your machine from its makers website to get all functions of the computer to work properly.

How do I check the battery for low cmos.?

If the CMOS battery is low or dead, the system will force you to enter the current time and date into the BIOS each time the machine is turned on. If it boots normally and retains its settings then the battery is OK.

My PC's Fan has a loud humming sound every time I boot up PC, how do I fix that?

Hi.

As Dean said, if the humming noise is always present even with the fan spinning at low RPM, replace it. If it's only loud when booting it might be normal ; some computer's BIOS spin the fan very fast when booting and when the Operating system or preset parameters take over, they gradually lower the speed. By the way, unplug the fans one at a time to find which one is causing the noise. If it is a case fan they cost only a few bucks, if it is the CPU fan it is a bit more expensive but aftermarket cooler can be found for around 20$. If you need to replace the CPU cooler, make sure you clean the old thermal paste and apply some fresh one. For a tutorial how Youtube is your best friends ;)

What is a pinnacle studios 16 ultiment low memory error fix

Hi Benita,
I understand that Pinnacle Studio16 + application fails to start, you get the error: "NGStudio.exe has stopped working".
To help you with the issue please answer the following questions:
1. Have you made any recent changes to your computer?
2. Which antivirus application are you using?
Let's place the computer in clean boot and open the application.
Clean boot will help us to identify if any third party applications or start up items are causing the issue.
To do this, follow steps from this link:
How to perform clean boot in Windows
Note: After checking the functionality in clean boot, follow the suggestions under "How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot".
Hope this helps.

Having problems rebooting. I cant get to windows

Make sure you are booting from your hard drive. If there is a cd in the cd drive remove it, sometimes the boot sequence starts with the cd drive.

When you press the power button watch the screen for which key to press to change the boot sequence. Press it and select your hard drive. If it boots, then next time press the key to go into you Bios or System Setup and change the boot sequence to check your hard drive first.

If after booting from your hard drive you are still having problems then you will need a repair disc or system disc to get to a dos command prompt (black screen with white writing) and enter this command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour, but that's ok, let it run. You will also notice the percentage of completion going from high to low, this is normal too. When it finishes reboot.

If Check disk does not fix the problem you will probably need to reinstall your operating system. Try doing a repair install to keep your data, documents, music, pictures, videos and programs.

I am having problem with my CPU.When I switch on it state that low battery voltage. Please can you help me with some software or give information on how to solve this problem.Your time & effort in...

Had this problem once before on boot up, but can't find the fix for it.
On boot up, I get the message that says "battery voltage low" and I have
to hit F1 to continue or F2 for setup. My battery voltage is NOT low.
Does anyone have the solution to this as it's quite annoying to have the
boot stop and wait for the F1 command? I promise NOT to lose the solution
again. Thanks.

Just a guess, but is it referring to your CMOS battery and might therefore
be an early indication that it needs changing?

My computer takes a long time to boot up. Then sometimes it runs slow and sometimes it runs OK. Occasionally I get a message that virtual memory is low.

You have a program that is eating memory. To find which just stop all the programs from launching during boot, reboot and enable them one by one until the boot speed drops - uninstall the faulty program.

My computer keeps turning its self off before it gets to the desk top screen.

i think your operating system is crashed or corrupted. try to boot in safe mode. for boot in safe mode press f8 at the time of startup and select safe mode. if your system boots in safe mode. If its a crash of operating system then run chkdsk for c drive and select two options with tick marks. it asks to scan at next time startup. select yes and restart your system. after scan it will fixed.

Low Memory

remove all programs that start at boot up by running msconfig and clearing all checked boxes for the programs that load at boot up. Also, remove all but the system icons from the desktop by creating a folder in "My Documents" called "Desktop". Cut and the paste all but the system icons into this folder, then right click on the folder and create a shortcut to this folder on the desktop. re-boot and see how it goes.

Restarts

hello!

Please fix all cables inside the system, remove and fix back the memory.

sometimes this problem cause by low voltage power supply. if you are sure that the PSU and also cause by software and hardware conflict that when booting the system and tend to load the windows it will detect error and protecting the system by turning it off or restart it automatically.

In this case, if you have newly installed hardware please remove it. if none of those then maybe you should test your memory for errors. if the memory function well; then, try to boot your system in safemode by pressing "F8" on first start. if the system continue booting in safe mode, unistall all the drivers of you computer and then restart. if the system continue starting in normal mode time to reinstall all the drivers of your system.

If this solution is not working then, there is no other option except reinstalling your Operating system i am sure this ultimately resolve the problem.

Hope this help!

best regards, melnavz
