Your Linksys most likely been zapped by the storm. It pays to connect your computer equipment into a power surge protection power board to protect the equipment from storm and power surges.
Try resetting the router. There should be a little hole somewhere on it with a button inside that you can press with a paperclip. Try holding that button down while you unplug then plug the router in while holding it (if possible). If that doesn't work, I'd suspect the storm might've damaged the router somehow. Was it plugged into a surge protector, and/or have you noticed any other issues with anything else that was turned on at the time?
fried it, unfixable, get a new one. and start unplugging everything during storms. if you still want to watch tv while there is storm get a old crappy small tv to watch while you high priced one is in safe position(unplugged)
I guess the wireless Internet provider is having some problem in you area after the storm.
To make your end tested, please check the below steps
1. On your Laptop , Go to the statrt menu , type in 'cmd' in the run prompt and hit enter.
2. In the popup black window type 'ipconfig/all'
3. You sould get an IP address from the wireless Router . If yes then the issue with the provider or else please Switch Off & switch ON the wireless router.
The cause is the power-supply "brick" to the DI-514.
It has failed.
So, it's time to buy a "surge-suppressor" (sometimes integrated into a high-end power-bar) and to buy a new router, for less than $80, in total, to be protected and be ready for the "next" storm.
Reboot your modem, router, and computer. Power them all down (unplug the modem and router if necessary) then boot the Modem, then after a minute boot the router, then your PC and see if all is well, it should be.
That will depend in its just the power adapter that got friend there is still a big possibility that the router will work with a different power adapter but if the router also got damaged during the storm. Then there is nothing that we can do about it. you will need to get a new one.
