I assume you are referring to the caster tire, not the drive tire. You will need to check to see if the rim is a split-rim or a solid rim. A split-rim will have 4 or more bolts holding the two halves of the rim together. If you have flat-free tires i.e., foam-filled solid tires, evidenced by the lack of a valve stem which is used to inflate non-flat-free tires (pneumatic), you would remove the wheel from the caster by rermoving the center bolt acting as the axle. Then remove the bolts holding the rims together. Reposition tire on top of one of the rim halves, then place the other rim half on top so that the bolt holes in the top one line up with the holes in the bottom one. You need to buy a couple of bolts that are about 3/4 in or more longer than the bolts that you removed, as you now must press the two halves back together and the stock bolts probably won't reach through. Put the two longer bolts in opposite of each other in two holes and tighten down. When the rims are pressed together, then put the stock bolts in, remove the two longer ones and replace with stock bolts. Place wheel back on the caster. If you have pneumatic tires (requiring air), make sure to always deflate the tire completely before attempting to loosen the bolts holding the rim-halves together. The same process is used for drive tire replacement. If the rims are not split rims, then it is easiest to buy an entire new wheel and tire as getting it back on is quite a chore requiring a press and lots of tequila! It's easy to break the rims. Good luck.

My Alante Jr power chair stopped working. when plugged in ,the charger light is green which means a full charge but the led lights all ten of them on arm continuous go from side to side without stopping....

The batteries are too low for the charger to work. You need to take the batteries out and charge them separately with an automotive battery charger. This may take 2 or more days for each battery. When the voltage on the battery gets past 10 volts, you can put them back in the chair and finish the charging with it's charger.

No power post tilted backwards

Check the cable leading from the joystick control to the base of the chair. You more than likely disconnected that cable.

I have a jazzy 1107 power wheel chair the back wheels are leaned outward i dont think the back wheels should be leaned outward i think this is what is causing me not be able to be able to turn properly....

Have some one check out that the section has not become loose or broken. IF the wheel rubbers are damaged then you will have trouble regardless of what you do. I consider it paramount that the chair is in top condition for your needs. Have the manufacturer's service agent fix it for you.

Golden compass power chair

Each wheel is run by a separate motor. This looks like either bad controller box, or bad motor. If it starts out working fine, then the one wheel stops after a short period of time, then it is probably a controller at fault. However if the motor is overheating due to mechanical binding such as a brake failure (the parking brake) or lacks lubrication causing excess power consumpltion, then the controller will shut down at some poiunt to avoid damaging itself and/or the motor. have a helper put the chair up on cememnt blocks, or woodne boxes etc, so you can observe it running. Listyen to the motor by doing left full and right full turns. The motors should be equally quiet and run at the exact same speeds. Dragging noises indicate a problem. be sure your parking brakes are disengaged. Now with the chair off, rotate eaach wheel by hand. They should need the same amount of force to move. if the bad wheel is harder to turn then it may need replacing or has bad brushes, brakes binding or in most cases dried up grease in the gearbox.

Jazzy select is swaying side to side when going forward like it has too much play in the joystick

Check your tire inflation and treads to make sure they can grip the floor/ground without slipping. Make sure that any keystock/keylock needed is installed on the axle, sometimes they slip out. Are your batteries fully charged and in good condition? Are you over the weight limit for the power chair?
Is there any noise or vibration coming from the power chair as you operate it? A grinding sound may indicate bad bearings in the caster wheels and cause problems in steering. A chirping sound may indicate a bad motor, they may be losing power and are not able to move the power chair evenly.
If your insurance purchased the power chair for you, they may also cover the repairs; contact them for information.
Good luck!

I tire on chair that went flat the wheel has a plastic cap for a valve stem how do I put air in the tires?

Rob if you can't find a air stem then you probably don't have air in the tire and it was a foamed filled tire. It doesn't happen often but the foan can break down and cause a "flat". Now look at the other wheel and see if it doesn't have a stem. The parts manual for your chair indicates a solid rubber rear tire so going flat shouldn't happen I would contact the dealer and ask for help with this one sorry I couldn't give you a precise answer. Good Luck

My mother-in-law has a jazzy 113 for about 6-7 years and the 2 wheels broke in half. How can this happen when it is a solid wheel? Please let me know what to do. Its the back wheels.

Liz First Did Medicare buy MIL's chair? If they did contact me @ [email protected] and I'll give you more info. Now after that long the tires get brittle and usually need replacement. You can contact the provider where MIL got her chair and have them get the caster wheels for the chair. Hope this helps
