Tub goes out of balance every spin cycle

On my Fisher and Paykel Intuitive Top loader, Have checked bias spring, machine is also level. Perhaps shock absorbing mounts have lost elasticity? The blue water tank (reservoir) at the top of the tub, not sure if this is to dampen the shaking of the tub for an out of balance load? How much water is this supposed to have in it? Mine does not appear to have much in it. Not sure if this could be the problem. Would appreciate any assistance anyone can offer.

Thanks John T

If it doesnt bang and crash around or doesnt seem like there it is out of balance (ie try running with nothing in it) then theres probably and electronic component problem

Fisher and Paykel IW709AU Washing Machine out of balance on spin

are four screw legs fitted ?
are all four firmly on the floor ? they are screw down.

is the machine reasonably level ?

is the bowl central when looked at thru the lid ?.- if it lays towards the back right corner it may have lost a "bias" spring.

Are you mixing synthetics with cottons ? this can be aproblem

if the bowl is way off centre you may have a faulty support rod

My fisher and paykel eco washer spins weirdly and makes lots of noises

Noisy
If the user is complaining about noise, it may be in a number of different areas. Is the noise during
spin? Is it a banging sound? This would typically be the drain hose, inlet hoses, mains lead or
harness. If it is an out of balance noise, check that the machine is level and stable. Check the
bias spring and balance rings. Remove the inner bowl and check that its weight is within
specification (Refer Section 1.12).
If it is a 'clunk' that occurs up to 3 times per cycle, this would be a bowl check and is completely
normal. It occurs when SmartDrive is draining and 3/4 empty. This is a 'feature' and a noise that
cannot be reduced.
Other things to check are:
• Is SmartDrive level and on all four feet equally.
• Check the mains lead, inlet hoses and drain hose outside the wrapper, behind SmartDrive.
• Check the harness and drain hose inside is not banging on the wrapper during spin.
• Check the bias spring is fitted correctly.
• Check the 2 balance rings in the inner bowl contain water. Check the bowl weight.
• Check for noisy suspension rods.

Small spring is hanging red clip on floor tub dose not look level water coming out around sides an top when it spins

this is one of several drum balancing spring clips and it broke or popped-off. This will for sure make the spin cycle shake the drum very much and spill water. Nedd to open the machine housing and replace/repair the spring.

Fisher and Paykel GW703 OOB Switch Fault I've diagnosed a OOB (out of balance) switch fault with a GW703 washing machine from the error code 00101011. I've checked the switch and it moves freely and clicks...

Hi just read your posting. Now the easiest way to check to see if the problem is your oob switch is to join the two wires that go to the switch with a small piece of wire so there is conductivity between them. This will bypass the switch and if you still have a problem then it could be your motor controller or your rotor position sensor. Please try the joining of the wires and see how you go.If it rectifies the fault then change the switch, if it does not rectify the fault then I can help you further when you reply back. Please turn the power off at the wall before you do this bypass.Make sure when you join the wires you tape up the joins with tape to stop them shorting out on something. When you have joined the wires try a cycle and see how it goes.Hope this helps.

The balancing springs or shock absorber leveler is broken or came off.

Fisher and paykel out of balance switch fault

Machine should reset when it has regained "balance". It is possible the the OOB switch lever is stuck on the tub ( it is under the top in the right corner and hangs parallel to the tub ). Move tub around and reset load. Sometimes the OOB switch get corroded or breaks and needs to be replaced in order to clear the fault. Call F/P.

Out of balance during wash

Ok you need to check your machine is level- if not adjust feet. You aslo need to check the Bias spring is still attached if not get a new one or re-attach it. The Bias spring is a little spring that connects from the top of the front left suspention rod to the top of the plastic bowl cover (this spring is meant to help stop it going out of balance so easy. Cheers

Fisher paykel won't finish spin cycle

To remove the tub you need to remove the spin motor magnets and stator, then using a tube soket undo the tub nut and it will come out. (not EASY JOB)
