Question about Palm Treo 500 Centro
I dropped my palm treo 500 for the first time the other day and was going to buy replacement screen and tools off ebay but wasent 100% sure on how to fit it. any tipps or a step by step guide on how to do it ??
I have just managed to get the cover off my treo 500 it took a little work but all off and looks like no breakage the two screws under the battery cover are obvious (one covered with a little red sticker with "palm" printed on it... some time ago I thought this was a reset button when my 500 froze up lol) the harder part is removing the back top half (with the lens cover and speaker cover. On the edge nearest the battery (remove the battery first) there are a 3 small recesses between them (2 points) there are some small clips work your way around the whole top half cover un clipping 8 in total) I did this with a thin piece of plastic and a lot or care there are 2 clips each side one about 4mm from the corner with the battery cover each side and one just before the curved corner about 22mm up from the first ones. The last two are either side of the silver detail strip that is around the lens and speaker covers. Once removed there are two more t5 screws which lets you remove the black inner chassis.
Hope this helps someone!
