Check to see if the ink cartridges are installed properly, and that they are not defective. to check if they are defective, you can go to a friends house or your office or somewhere where there is a printer that will work with your ink cartridges, and then you can print something and see if they work.

Correct setting for Epson Workforce 7520 printing on gloss paper

You need to start with photo glossy paper that's designed for an Epson printer. HP paper may not work well, and some other papers don't work either. Try some Epson paper, and that should work fine.
You can also try other paper settings, such as "transparency" or "matte paper", as the paper setting governs how much ink is laid down. I think getting the right paper is really what you need, though. Ink "puddling" is a common Epson complaint, and it's almost always the paper.

Error message that paper jam in paper cradle

Try this:
  • open the lid of the printer (from where you can see the ink cartridges);
  • remove the ink cartridges;
  • use warm water and cotton swabs to clean both the ink cartridges and the print head (where the cartridges sit on) off of any ink residue;
  • place the ink cartridges back into the printer and test if this works by printing something.

If you're still having issues, there may be a mechanical problem; in which case you need to get it repaired by someone.

Good luck!

Black ink won't print and I just changed the ink

Try using the photo paper option instead of the plain paper option.

I was using plain paper but, selecting the plain paper option...I could barely read the print. The photo paper option worked great!

Hope it helps!

Ink has run out ??? it no longer prints... TSP100 How do we change the ink roller/cartridge or whatever it requires?

TSP100 Thermal Printer work with a thermosensible paper, there is no ink to change, if the print quality is poor you have to
  • check the paper roller, it can be wrong installed.
  • Check the upper cover if not closed properly close it.
  • check the print head or the pressor roller.

I put an a4 glossy paper in for aphoto, try and print from the laptop but does not work. if i use normal a4 paper it works?

You need to find out the spec on the A4 photo grade paper.

If the paper is to heavy, then it will not pick and feed properly. If the paper is to glossy, it could cause the paper to slip and smudge or blurry the image.

If the paper is made for a laser printer, the ink will be absorbed into the page.

Laser printers fuse (heat and pressure) the image onto the paper. Ink printers, however, require that the paper be able to absorb the ink into the paper.

I have Lexmark x85printer. Bought new Ink Cartages. Printer Will not Feed Paper All I get is paper jam Clear paper

Either the ink cartridges are incorrectly inserted, and block the paper path jamming the paper, or the paper drive roller got slightly out of kilter when replacing the ink. Sometimes, powering down the printer, manually moving (gently) the printer head halfway from home position, closing the printer and powering it on will clear a roller problem (never tried on a Lexmark, though. It works on Epsons and HPs). If the head doesn't move, though, don't force it. Try instead taking out the ink cartridges and putting them in again, without forcing, and gently wiggling them until they click in place.

If you get the message without any paper in the printer, check the insides for any scrap of paper which could have lodged in the sensors.

Also, verify there is no paper elsewhere in the paper run (paper out tray, etc.). Sometimes the "paper jam" message is a sort of "catch-all" error.

Epson r230

If the Ink Out light flashes, the printer is getting low on ink; if it is on solid, the printer is completely out of ink and you need to replace the cartridge; if it is flashing rapidly, the printer detected a print head unit or ink cartridge installation error. If the Paper Out light is on solid, you need to install paper in the printer; if it is flashing, the printer detected a paper jam. When both the Ink Out and Paper Out lights are on solid, the printer thinks that there is a carriage error; if both lights are flashing, there is a fatal error and the printer will need to be sent in for service

We changed the ink and the red light and green

Some times you need to find the epson tools that comes on the CD to reset the printer. If you have upgraded the computer you may need to update your drivers at the epson sight.
Once you have opened the epson tools try cleaning the print heads.
then it should reset the inking system to default and read the new cartridges. If this doesn't work try shutting down the printer and removing the ink cartridges, restart the printer and allow it to find no cartridges the go through the process of reloading the ink cartridges again and cycle the printer.

If this doesn't work you may need to try and find a cleaning cartridge for the print heads. Since the printers always check to see if ink is getting to the print heads if there is no ink flow it will always come up like there are no ink cartridges installed.

Hope this helps

Make sure paper is in properly they can be very picky about that.
Try turning it off wait three minutes and turn back on.
Then
Push Paper refill button Wait for cycle and see if paper light stays off if so...
Push the ink button

Archival ink for epson 740i?

Hello,

Great question and one I handle for Professional Photographers here in my area.

First of all, are you working in a museum environment or not or another type environment where chemistry of the paper needs to e controlled because of what it emits when decomposing, or is this an issue of the paper and ink being exposed to flash photogrpahy, klieg lights, or UV -A or B sun rays?

To what factor is cost involved?

Regards,
Worldvet
