If other phones are working with this base, then you may need to register the phone with the base. You will have to check your manual for how to do this. Some phones have it on their menu and some do it by simply placing the phone in the base unit. I'm not sure what model you have or how old your system is. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Hi, Registering a handset to a base unit 1 Base unit: Press and hold {LOCATOR} for 4 seconds until the registration tone sounds. 2 Handset: Press {OK}, then wait until a long beep sounds. Note: registered handsets. If the problem does not resolve, check that the AC cord is seated fully at the base of the unit and that the handset is fully charged.Use a different fuse for the phone to eliminate blown fuse issue which could be quite common. If the problem persists, you need to send the phone for repair. Let me know,if needed further assistance. Hope i helped you. Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
