This is caused by having your display properties (Themes, Appearance) set to 'Windows Classic'. Resetting them to Windows XP fixes it - You can then change it back to Classic again if you wish and it will display properly

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

HOW TO ADDA FAVOUTITES TAB ON IE 11 AS FOUND IN IE8

If you right-click in the toolbar area (at the top where the favorite bar USED to be) you will see a small pop up with a few options. Click "Favorites Bar" and that should do the trick.

Alternatively, while in IE press the ALT key one time to reveal the Menu Bar. Select View > Toolbars > Favorites Bar

Hope that helps! adda-favoutites-tab-ie-11-as-found-in-vqnzrvnqlx14j4uj04fm0vdy-3-0.jpg adda-favoutites-tab-ie-11-as-found-in-vqnzrvnqlx14j4uj04fm0vdy-3-2.jpg

Tip

Got an annoying toolbar in IE that you just can't remove ?

Then this is for you it's a standalone program that can be integrated into IE8 soyou can use it throught the tools, it's called Toolbar Cop v3.4, dont be put off it's not a cheap piece of freeware it will allow you to remove programs like Bugnosis very hard to budge without this. Thanks Rahmesh this is his site needs a bit of updating though the download link does not work on the authors site however you can get it here

http://rapidshare.com/files/252135138/ToolbarCop.zip

ToolbarCop is a browser extensions manager which can disable or eliminate the following browser add-ons selectively from Internet Explorer v6-v8 even when there is not uninstall or remove function in the IE8 Manage Add-ons oprions;

•Browser Helper Objects (BHO)
•Toolbars
•Standard Toolbar buttons
•Context menu Extensions
•Download managers
•Protocol Handlers
•Horizontal / Vertical Explorer Bars (side-search bars)
•Startup applications originating from RUN registry keys.

I reccomend that you create a folder called toolbarcop in program files then copy the file into it then open the program and then add the functionality to IE8 so you can best use it.

I frequently get a Goggle tool bar notifier error message. It appears to stall the loading process until it is acknowledged. how do I elimanate this problem

Go into your control panel to add remove programs and uninstall it. Then go online and install the latest Google toolbar. When you do the search for the latest toolbar include your browser in the search. Example: Google toolbar for IE8, or Google toolbar for Firefox (version), etc...This will insure compatibility.

My pc running slow

First, open your Internet Options. Delete all temp files and history files.

CC Cleaner is a great free tool to do this and more. Download and install. Run it and clean everything it finds.

I delted toolbars to make my window bigger and now I can't get the toolbars back. I don't have anything to click on - just the windows that are open.

The Firefox "menu bar" includes dropdown menus for various tasks (including "File", "Edit", etc.). If the menu bar does not display, press the "Alt" key (if you are using Windows). That will restore the menu bar temporarily. To restore it permanently, go to the menu bar and select:
View > Toolbars > Menu bar

The Firefox "navigation toolbar" includes the "back", "forward", "reload" buttons, and the address bar (where you type a web address). If the navigation bar does not display, go to the menu bar and select:
View > Toolbars > Navigation toolbar

The Firefox "bookmarks toolbar" displays frequently used bookmarks. If the bookmark toolbar does not display, go to the menu bar and select:
View > Toolbars > Bookmarks toolbar

Cannot find the "link" toolbar

In IE8 click Tools->Toolbars->Customize. In the left list box "Available toolbar buttons" select "send link by email" and click "add" in the middle. Close the dialog box and restart IE8. You will see link toolbar option under "Page" tool bar.

MY E8 IS VERY SLOW PLEASE HELP I AM USING WINDOS XP AND ITS VERY SLOW FPR BROWSING. MY NAME IS FAISAL EMAIL IS faisal_hijary@hotmail.com faisalalhijary@yahoo.com

I found that my IE8 slowed down because of BHO's that got into my system.

BHO's or Browser Helper Objects are IE8 Additons that are sometimes voluntarily added like Yahoo Search, or Google Toolbar, and sometimes not voluntary. BHO's cannot always be uninstalled or removed.
Two things you can try:

(These operations can be performed 'on the fly' so you can do them now as you're reading.)

1) Right Click your mouse on the empty space along the Menu Bar, (just to the right of the "Help" Menu. This will show a list of IE8 Menu bar additions.
In the list, a check mark can be added or removed to open or close each option. Try removing any unnecessary bars by uncheking them. (The Menu Bar is necessary so leave that one on)
This may speed things up, if so, you're good.

In the case of BHO's you can try the management console. It's a hidden feature.
2) First follow option one and Enable the Status Bar by clicking it till there is a check mark beside it.

Second with the Status bar showing, (at the bottom of the window, you'll see slightly defined boxes at the bottom. (About nine of them)
The third box is the BHO management tool, double click it to pop up the BHO Management too.
This will list all your BHO's, clicking on each will display in the bottom pane info about that particular BHO and provide controll buttons to disable or enable it.
Right clicking the BHO's in the list will give you the same controll options.

Only AntiViurs BHO's are truely relevant, but you can experiment and see the different effects.
This worked for me, hope it works for you too.

Note: AVG takes several days to settle in after it's first installed; it's behind the scenes operations make internet browsing slow for a little while but eventually this goes away.

Cheers,
Richard.

Missing and unrecoverable INTERNET OPTIONS in XP Windows 2000

If you still have the IE8 Beta 2 setup progrram on your system, run it and select the 'Repair installation' option if presented. If that's not there, you could try to reinstall over the existing installation, or you could go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features. Select Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 and uninstall it. Reboot the computer and check to see if your previous version of IE is working properly.

If that works and you still want IE8, download the latest version from the MS site and install, since Beta 2 is old. I am currently using RC1 but the RTM version may be available by now.

Let me know if this doesn't work and we can look at other options.
