2006 Kia Sportage V6. Need help removing starter guard but confused some say it's plastic but mine is metal?

There is one video that might help. Also the Kia Forums are a good source of information. There are two engines in the Sportage, a V6 and a straight 4, so that may be the difference in metal or plastic. There are only 2 bolts on the starter, but access is always hard unless you have ramps, a lift, or trolley jack and axle stands.

My coolant was topped off (supposedly) w oil change on Friday and it was empty by Sunday. Didn't notice liquid but was staying at hotel and running lots of errands

take it in to an accredited radiator shop for a coolant system pressure test
check for welsh plugs leaking , water pump seal leaking , holes in radiator cores or split top plastic tank. check color of sump oil and if it is a grey color it will be coolant in the supm

Nissan 1400 welsh plugs leaking

You mean frost plugs? Clean the outside thoroughly with degreaser and alcohol and then knock them in a little with a hammer, then silicone them. They are a domed steel plug, knocked into a slightly tapered hole.

Lots here on replacing them, Welsh Plugs, Welch Plugs, Core Plugs, Freeze Plugs :>)

How do you get the rain guards put back on the windows? Is there a special type of adhesive? NOT the weather stripping, the plastic rain guard you can put on the top of the window to block the rain from...

You will need an adhesion promoter for the plastic part I think. Look at 3M 06396. It comes in little packets like you get at restaurants to wet wipe your fingers. This is for the plastic. For the painted metal, you need to use an alcohol wipe to clean the surface of wax, etc.

How do you replace the headlight assembly on a 99 Pontiac Grand Am?

  1. Open the hood to your Pontiac Grand Am. Have the car keys on you, but not in the ignition and make sure the lights are in the "off" position.
  2. Step 2 Locate the splash guard and the plastic push pins that hold it down. It runs along the entire front frame rail. Removing the entire splash guard will make it easier to to remove even one headlight on one particular side.
  3. Step 3 Remove the pins by lifting up on the center of the pin. Pull it up about 1/4-inch and then pry the pin insert and pin out of the hole.
  4. Step 4 Locate and remove the two-headlight assembly bolts on the the top of the headlight assembly. Use the ratchet and a socket to remove the bolts.
  5. Step 5 Pull the headlight assembly forward by hand. Be careful not to scratch the lens of the assembly or scratch the paint on the front bumper.
  6. Step 6 Unplug the wire from the back of the headlight that is blown out.
  7. Step 7 Turn the headlight bezel counterclockwise (about 1/4 turn) until it releases the headlight from the back of the headlight assembly. Extract the old headlight and discard it.
  8. Step 8 Insert the new headlight into the headlight assembly. Be careful not to touch the glass of the bulb. Handle it only from the bottom.
  9. Step 9 Replace the bezel and turn 1/4 turn clockwise until it locks into place.
  10. Step 10 Plug the wire back into the headlight and rest the assembly onto the bumper gently so you can turn on the lights to test and make sure the headlight it working properly.
  11. Step 11 Insert the headlight assembly back into place. Replace and tighten the headlight assembly bolts.
  12. Step 12 Put the splash guard into place and place the push pins into position. Insert the pin and its insert into the hole with the pin still in the "up" position. When the insert is seated flush to the splash guard in the hole, simply push the pin down to lock.

CYLINDER HEAD REMOVAL FOR MB E320 1995 . do i need to take out the timing chain guard before takign out the cylinder head i need help pls thank you

no-just make sure you remove the pin that secures the inner guide rail. The banana rail isn't secured on the head. If the inner guide rail breaks then you will have to remove the bottom front cover to replace it so be careful.
