TECH SPECS
Format: DVD-R/DVD-RAM

Being that the videos are written to the DVD, it depends on the type of DVD you are using if it will support the ability to delete videos off of the disc.

DVD-R = Once its on there, its on there for good.
DVD-RAM = You can edit whats on the disc, being that it works sorta like RAM (random access memory) does where it is constantly changing whats on it.

If you are indeed using DVD-RAM please leave a comment and I will try to further assist you.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Help with disks

I'm not familiar with the camcorder, but DVD-R are write once disks. They cannot be modified or erased. If the camcorder supports the operations you're describing they would only work on DVD-RW disks.

Good luck.

Yes: Delete, Play List, Move, Divide, Combine and Fade are available when recording onto DVD-RAM discs. This feature is available by utilizing HITACHI’s Disc Navigation System. DVD-R discs cannot be edited.
