Power ware has a powerpass bypass switch for $200.00.

There is two inputs on this bypass switch. One for power, and one for the generator.

One ouput for your UPS. There you have it... There is your soluiton. I might add one other thing called a Power Guard, PMM117, to monitor the power of the backup generator. The time delay of this device will prevent over current from cooking your UPS power supply.

They also have a Hardwired version that is more expensive for you 5, 6 ,10KVA UPS. So a automatic bypass switch is what you need.

SOURCE: my ups has is faulty i need a circuit diagram to fix it

I had a DC bus fault error displayed.

So I unplugged battery, then turned on UPS. It said Batt disconnected of course.

So when I plugged in the batt while the UPS was on, and held the power button for a few sec, the UPS displayed Batt testing.

After a few moments it was back online and had no faults!

Worth a shot.

Hi, here is the documentation page for the 9120 where you can find the manual: http://powerquality.eaton.com/Products-services/legacy/9120-info.asp You can also contact customer support 800 356 5737 or SinglePhaseTS@eaton.com. You may recognize the product as the Powerware 9120 but Powerware was bought by Eaton a few years ago. The customer support team is most ex Powerware and are familiar with the 9120.

The Powerware 9120 UPS has been replaced by the Eaton 9130 (www.eaton.com/powerquality). You may be able to get some 9120 models from www.powersupersite.com. Just do a search for 9120.

A good electronics supplier should have. Get the correct voltage and size, and get one with the largest CFM available.

9120 Battery Failure

sounds like inverter is unhappy(causing the input fuse to blow. maybe, just maybe, this Powerware 9120 has given up the ghost? The inverter can short for a variety of reasons. Try to take out the battery completely, and run it as just a power conditioner. If that works, then you have an unhappy inverter in there.
