Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

My internal memory says it is full.It is a kodakeasysharem538,I really need to get these picts.off there.

If you don't want to delete them you need to either connect the camera to your computer and download them to a folder, then delete them from the camera, or remove the memory card and plug it into your computer and do the same, then put the card back in the camera.

When I'm trying to upload video to the Facebook , upon completion uploading it appears upload failed , how to fixed the problem ?

This usually happens when your internet speed is too slow or busy or the actual video you are trying to upload is too large a file for it to handle. This is what Facebook says about it:

I can't upload a video. Videos are usually large files, so they can take more than a few minutes to upload fully. If you're having trouble uploading videos, try these troubleshooting tips:
  • Make sure your video is in a supported format. We recommend MP4. Your video software (ex: Final Cut, Avid, iMovie) should have information on how to export your video to MP4.
  • Keep in mind that videos must be less than 45 minutes long and smaller than 1.75 GB.
  • Check that you're using the latest version of your browser.
  • If it's taking longer than a few hours to add a video to Facebook, learn how to report a problem.
Keep in mind that trying to upload the same video multiple times won't speed up the process. If you'd like to continue using the internet while the video is uploading, you can open up another browser window.

I HAVE TRIED TO UPLOAD PHOTOS FROM MY CAMERA TO MY COMPUTER BUT MY CAMERA KEEPS SAYING COMMUNICATION ERROR. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AND WHAT SHOULD I DO? THANKS

Hi, It generally means what it says. There is a problem with communication between the camera and the computer. The trouble is that it's difficult to know where trhat problem lies.
My answer in all cases is not to use the camera to transfer the pictures to the computer. Buy yourself a card-reader (they are now very cheap). Leave it permanently plugged into a convenient USB port on your computer and take the card out of the camera and plug that into the card-reader. The computer should see it as a mass-storage device (like a USB pen-drive) and you can transfer your photos from that.
I haven't connected any of my digital cameras to a computer in over 5 years.

Transfer picts to PC from Olympus Stylus 740 All weather

Make sure the software that came with the camera is NOT installed. Assuming it is with a Windows computer with ME/2000/XP. Plug the camera in, ensure it is on and set to upload and Windows will take it from there. Windows Scanner/Camera wizard will come up and ask what you want to do with the images- simply select to download to folder- from there it can be allowed to simply follow its head and make its own folder usually taking the date as a title - -or make a dedicated folder or subjects names the whole operation is controllable by the user providing that take their time. It is essential the Software disk is left in the box - it only confuses things - computer and user.

Something is wrong with my player!

Try updating the firmware, you can download it from the RCA Website (http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/).
If your computer doesn't recognize the player, you'll have to turn it off, remove the battery and keep "PLAY" pressed for 10 seconds while connecting it to the USB port, then update the firmware.
