I think that you are talking electric blankets

choose one that meets electrical standards
choose on that is the right size for the bed
choose one that has a good warranty period
choose one that you cannot feel the elements in
the secret of a blanket is not the price but the method of storage when not in use
folding incorrectly ruins more blankets that leaving them on the bed

Thank you, but I want to choose one cloud blanket or fleece blanket. Don't know what's the difference between them.

Dog has chewed cord from blanket to transformer on Riviera Electric Blanket

First off, why are you using an electric blanket in the middle of a heat wave??? Oh, never mind, I just looked up the manufacturer who was located in New South Wales, and I guess you Blokes and Sheilas in Australia are in the middle of winter. The manufacturer is located in Mascot, NSW, but no longer makes the blankets. Try contacting them directly to see if cords are available. If the chewed section is between the blanket and the transformer, you will most likely be better off buying a new one. The first link is to a discussion about Riviera Electric Blankets, and the second is a retailer in Sydney that carries new blankets from $39 to $150.

I have a Sunbeam Queen washable electric Blanket dual control model BL445D. One of the detachable controls is not working and I would like to buy a replacement one? can you tell me where I can find one...

Hi. You can locate a Sunbeam Service Centre via http://www.sunbeam.com.au/Pages/Support/Repairers.aspx

You're looking at $64.00 recommended retail.

BTW have you checked that it's not the blanket? Swap the controls over, if the problem follows the control it's the control. If the problem stays on the same side of the blanket, it's the blanket.

Also note Sunbeam has a 3 year warranty on electric blankets. If Date Of Purchase is less than 3 years ago call 1800025059 option 1 to speak to their Customer Service,

One of the controls will not turn on. The cord is

Try swapping the controls and see if the problem stays with the control or the blanket side. In any case I would go on line and contact Sunbeam, they are a very reputable manufacturer and I would be surprised if they do not stand behind the product. You will be able to tell them if it is the control or blanket. If the other side of the blanket gets warm when you switch the controls it is the control if the same side gets warm it is the blanket. If neither side gets warm is is the blanket and control.
Good Luck,
