Hiya, sorry to say that the power supply is probably damaged, sometimes happens with power outs. Unless it is expensive model, they are sometimes not worth fixing (although the fault could be very simple like a single diode etc. Maybe send it in and ask for a quote, then decide if it is worth it.

Best of luck

Exactly the same thing happened to my Panasonic DVD recorder, everything else in the power strip would turn on, except the recorder. I've had it for a few years, so I don't think it'll be worth repairing it. Next power out I'll turn the strip off before power comes back.

My jvc dvd player xv-thc50 won't turn on

if your dvd player has no any power indicator at the front, the first place to be checked will be the power supply. look for a blown fuse bad component parts like shorted diode and an open resistance.

I can not open my dvd player on my jvc th 555

You may try pulling the power cord out and leave it out for about 10 minutes then plug it back in. Sometimes it resets the circuitry and allows you to used the eject switch. I have been succesful in the past with a DVD player I own.

Jvc th-s3 won't turn on...blue light flashes briefly and then goes out

Hello,

from my experience, I think your player is having a power problem. It must have received excess voltage/irregular power supply which has damaged an IC or capacitor on the power board of the player.

Sometimes this excess power supply might damage the player's main board. This is why it is advice able that you use step down for your player, because DVD player don't need excess power as something might be damaged.

To solve this problem, you will be needing a meter. Open the player, use the meter to read the components on the power board as it will help you discover the component that got damaged and you can then replace the bad component.

But if you do not have the knowledge of fixing this problem, you might be needing the help of a service technician.

Take care.

Listen to DTV DVR output on TH-C3

im not familiar with this model. can i assume it is a small home theatre system with limited inputs?
in that case, the best thing to do is to feed all your devices...cable, dvr, dvd, etc....into the tv.(audio and video). then use the audio output of the tv to the input on the receiver. you may have to go into the tv menu and set the audio output to the speakers in the tv to fixed mode for a constant level out to the receiver.
good luck

My dvd player is locked

If you are unable to get the tray of the dvd player open either the player will have a hole in front for you to stick a (I use a straightened out paper clip) into and press in towards the dvd player. It will manually open the drive so you can retrieve your dvd or there will be enough of a lip on the tray door you can grab it and pull it open manually. Then I would try unplugging the player and waiting a few minutes and plugging it back in and you might get lucky and it may never happen again. Good luck . Hope it works.
