Epson multifunction printer/scanner DX6050 drivers for Mac Leopard

I have used a Epson DX6050 printer with my iMac Tiger. I recently upgraded to Leopard and cannot use my printer - but the scanner works. Is there a solution. Do I have to wait until Epson upgrades and provides a driver online?

Re: Epson multifunction printer/scanner DX6050 drivers...

I am having the same problem.  I have managed a workaround using the Gutenprint driver for the Epson Stylus DX4800.  It works but prints out slightly lighter than full colour - sort of a cross between normal and draft mode.

Re: Epson multifunction printer/scanner DX6050 drivers...

I had real problems loading this printer on my imac (tiger), in the end (even after the genius bar failed to solve it) I spoke to Epson & they talked me through intstalling the drivers. They went through the normal printer selection on the mac & when it asks to select printer I had to launch the driver. It now works perfectly but I'm reluctant to upgrade to Leopard in case I cannot repeat the operation

Def sounds like a driver error, do you get a yellow mark next to your printer driver or is it ok?

You could try & see if there is a more recent driver from epsons website

I have upgrades to Snow Leopard on my iMac and cannot access the printer commands to cheque the printer heads, and ink levels.

You can find useful information on site? Mac OS X Snow Leopard Support Contact Support rightmenudottedline.gif snow_leopard_logo_sm2.jpg Welcome to Mac OS X Snow Leopard v10.6 support for Epson products. Here you can find out how to get drivers and other Epson software for your Epson product that work with Mac OS X Snow Leopard v10.6.
Check your Epson product CD to see if it already contains Macintosh OS X 10.6 drivers. If the CD indicates support for Macintosh OS X 10.6, follow the instructions that came with your Epson product to install your drivers and other software.
If your Epson CD does not indicate support for OS X 10.6, DO NOT INSERT YOUR EPSON PRODUCT SOFTWARE CD IN YOUR SNOW LEOPARD COMPUTER. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to obtain the latest software and utilities for your Epson product as they may be needed for this new operating system.
Good Luck.

Tally 8008 not printing mac OSX 10.5.6 leopard

Found a solution. We connected 8008 printer to imac running Tiger & we can now print via network on any of our emacs running Leopard. Not ideal but at least we can now use the printers. I would still love a dedicated driver to work direct but I suppose this will do for now.

Mac OS 10.5 Leopard

First, install "epson easyprint" from the epson website. Its found under drivers and support for your unit.

Then click ok on that error message about "driver dealing with..."
After you click ok on the message, you will get another window where you will find a "manual print" button. Click on this manual print button and this will take you to the next window where you have to select "A4 as the paper size" and "CD/DVD as the paper type and paper path" . After this, click print... it should start to print! This is just a workaround until epson gets a patch for leopard for print cd........hopefully

Can't print to 1410 after I upgraded to Leopard

I believe I had a similar problem. Try this:
Go to System Preferences > Print & Fax > '+'
Select the Epson 1410 and then under Print Using go to Select a driver to use the Epson Styls Phot 1410 - Gutenprint v5.1.3

I hope it helps.

Scanner won't operate on HP PSC1410 All in one with Leopard

Hi, as per HP's support page on this product here

It seems that there aren't any drivers compatible with Leopard for this printer at the moment. The latest OS supported is Mac OS X Tiger... You will have to wait untill HP do something for leopard...
