Hi, I have a GE 26936GE1-C 32-channel 900mhz
call waiting ID and speakerphone cordless telephone. When I press the ?talk? button on my handset, it beeps 4 times and the handset display says ?no link to base? and ?ready?. The speakerphone base does get a dial tone and I can dial out on it but I can?t get a dial tone on the cordless handset. I have tried a new battery and allowed it to charge for 2 days before re-testing. I have moved it around to different
phone outlets with the same results. I have checked to make sure that the base and the handset are the same model number and they are. The ?page? beep function from the handset going to the base does work but when I try to ?page? from the base to the handset, the handset does not beep. The Charge/In Use red indicator light on the base stays red only when the handset is in the cradle. I have double checked to make sure the battery is installed properly. I have done everything listed in the user?s guide troubleshooting tips section for ?no dial tone? and ?unit beeps? to fix it. Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks in advance.
