Pentax k2000 won't save time and date

In most modern cameras is a little rechargeable battery, that keeps the clock ticking. If your camera was a long time without power, perhaps this battery has died. I would buy a new set NiMH rechargeable or recyclo batteries, because they have a bit less capacity, but can hold power for as long as a year. Then charge them and leave the rechargeable batteries in your camera. Keep your fingers crossed, perhaps the little clock battery will be revived?

The lens on my kodak 3x aspheric lens will not go in. I turned on my camera it lit uo green the lens came out and the camera shut off and now my lens will not go back in nor will my camera turn on

recheck that the batterys are fully charged. new batteries if they are rechargable may be just need to be recharged. if they are not rechargable batteries you need to use good quality alkeline batteries as a digital camera requires abit of voltage to keep it functioning

IT HAS BRAND NEW AA BATTERIES IT WILL TURN ON BUT THEN TURN OFF

Are you still using alkaline batteries? If so, alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pictures in a digital camera. Some may also have reached their shelf life, and though brand new and right out of the package, they may even have problems just powering startup of the camera. Digital cameras that use AA's for the most part should only be used with rechargeable batteries. If you read the camera's instruction manual concerning batteries, you may see the same recommendation.

Modern rechargeable batteries (I'm not talking about old NiCad's, those are awful) can hold over five times the amount of power of an old fashioned alkaline battery. Also keep in mind that rechargeable batteries will save you money in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may be angry with yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.

What does change the batteries message indicate when new batteries are installed? Canon S2 IS will not turn on in camera mode but reads "change the batteries" even with new batteries.

My kodak digital camera won't turn on.

First, remove the SD card (if there is one) and see if it works. If it does, then the SD card is damaged. If it still doesnt work, read on..

Try regular alkaline batteries. If they work, it could indicate that your rechargeable batteries are dead and need to be replaced, or there is a problem with the charger.

If the regular batteries dont work either, try cleaning the contacts in the battery compartment of your camera, or gently scratching the contacts with a jeweller's screwdriver. If it still does not work, there is an issue with the camera's power board and it will require servicing.

What batteries are you using? If they're rechargeable - charge them. If they're not, replace them (with rechargeable NiMH batteries if possible).
