Re: device manager shows error in sm bus controler

Goto to system devices look for the question mark, right click, and try reinstall the drivers again, this should normally work and reboot your machine and the drivers should be there.

may be the bus driver you are trying to install may not be compatable for your machine, check with the user manual to see what bus derivers you can install

What is PCI bus, device 16 function 1 Code 28

While I do not know exactly what would cause your computer to display that code, I can safely assume that you are using a pci sound card if you are getting a pci error, and your sound is not working. In short, yes, the pci problem is almost definitely related to your sound problem.

I have hp compact presario v6000.

You have to install the drives again

Or use your motherboard cd
If an error occurs during the installation make sure to remove the device from the device manager
Re-Install the driver

Installed some new ram now audio bus and ethernet

What kind of system are you on? Some older computers BIOS will not support more than 1 or 2 gb ram. Check the specifications of your motherboard to ensure your BIOS can see that memory.
