We were told if you have a 3D tv ,that you can watch 3D anytime ,any show or movie ,is this correct
You should need 3D movie sources and 3D glasses too. And there are many places to get 3D movies:
1. Vudu. A popular media service in the United States, Vudu is owned by parent company Walmart and provides 3D movie experiences with any compatible devices such as your 3D television. You can access content from Vudu from many platforms, including Playstation, Xbox, and TiVo. The service also integrates directly with Movies Anywhere, an online service that allows you to access any content you purchase on Vudu through iTunes, Prime Video, Google Play, and FandangoNow; however, it is important to note that 3D movies will only be accessible in standard 2D on other services.
2. PlayStation Video. PlayStation Video is an excellent compliment to owners of the beloved video game and entertainment console. Not only does Sony offer the latest movies in 3D, but viewers can take their films on the go thanks to Playstation's apps for Android and iOS. One downside to consider is that despite movies being available to watch from non-PlayStation devices, the initial rental or purchase must be initiated from the Playstation store on supported consoles.
3. 3D Blu-ray discs. This service is not for online streaming, but instead allows you to rent your favorite films in 3D from the comfort of your home. With a comfortably sized library of content, film buffs can enjoy renting videos one at a time or purchase a subscription plan. For those who demand the utmost quality, viewing your films directly on Blu-ray means you will always have access to exclusive content and features, along with uncompressed video and audio. If you don't have a Blu-ray drive, then you can use some Leawo UHD Copy to convert the Blu-ray to digital or DVD, so that you can play it on your TV.
Only certain channels are 3D and are usually marked in channel description as being a 3D content channel and those are only ones in which the glasses make it look 3D. A 3D channel viewed without the glasses would be noticeably different looking than a regular channel. You cannot just put on the glasses on a 3D TV and think all channels are 3D. Sports and live programming now is the most popular content in 3D on regular TV and there are DVDs made in 3D. It appears that 3D may be on verge of being dead as many of the national networks have abandoned plans for 3D platform and ESPN which being live sports is most likely to be the easiest to transmit in 3D has said the will stop their work on adding 3D content. I believe the 4k sets and content are what is driving this as most providers would rather invest capital money into 4k which is in demand far more than 3D and cheaper to do as well.
