Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

This link has a better schematic. Note the thermal fuse. Check it first.
If it is open you need to determine why it opened. Is the exhaust pipe clogged or does it have to many elbows or is it too long.
4 elbows is about equal to a clogged pipe.
Is there something wrong with the thermostat that caused it to overheat?

I have everything set properly. When I push the knob to start the cylce nothing happens. I have a magic chef Model #YE20JN5 I have cleaned the lint trap. I have made sure my door is closed properly.

first thing to check is if the belt broke, as the safety switch would shut every thing down. you can check by removing bottom front cover , or if it doesnt, place machine on its side and look under

MAGIC CHEF ELECTRIC DRYER DOESN'T WORK. WHEN I PUSH THE ON BUTTON, NOTHING HAPPENS. POWER SWITCH IS ON.

Hello dybarra_fami, first suspect is the door switch. Check the little button on the door & the switch it presses when you close the door. Merry Chrismas.

dryers have a 'thermal fuse' that will cause the whole thing to turn off. it seems like yours has burned out. it may be caused by a restriction in airflow, so when you replace the thermal fuse make sure you clean the exhaust or the fuse may go out again.
