Can't retrieve voicemail when hitting #1 as derected

This phone system has two features.

Answerphone system which records messages to the unit.
and
Voice Mail System which is an extended (often paid) service from your telephone provider.

Sometimes a glitch at the Telcom will remove your Voice Mail. You will need to phone their customer service number and ask why they stopped the service you previously enjoyed? They will be able to put it back in place.

Retrieve voicemail from telephone service Voicemail is a feature available from most telephone service providers. It may be included with your telephone service, or may be optional. Fees may apply.

Retrieve voicemail When you received a voicemail, the handset displays New voicemail and . To retrieve, you typically dial an access number provided by your telephone service provider, and then enter a security code. Contact your telephone service provider for instructions on how to configure the voicemail settings and listen to messages. NOTE After you have listened to all new voicemail messages, the indicators on the handset turn off automatically.

Set your voicemail number You can save your access number on each handset for easy access to your voicemail. After you saved the voicemail number, you can press and hold to retrieve voicemail. Press MENU when the handset is not in use. Press or to choose Settings, and then press SELECT. Press or to choose Voicemail #, and then press SELECT. Turn off the new voicemail indicators If you have retrieved your voicemail while away from home, and the handset still displays the new voicemail indicators, use this feature to turn off the indicators. Press or to choose Clr voicemail, and then press SELECT. You hear a confirmation tone.

You have to ring your voicemail number. I searched online for "voicemail number nec" and got a load of hits.

I would think that you click on the message icon. It should still show your messages.

Scroll down to page #39 to where it says Use Voicemail and follow the instructions!! As per the service tech I spoke to on the phone to find this link, following these instructions will automatically erase your old voicemail unlock code as well as any as yet unheard messages.

Set Up your VoicemailBefore your phone can receive voicemail messages, you must set up a 4-10 digit passcode and record a personal voicemail greeting.When you have set up your voicemail, all unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off.1. Press and hold the 1 key.2. Follow the system prompts to create a password and record a greeting.

Check your Voicemail

When you receive a voicemail message, a
notification with a voicemail message icon
appears at the top of your screen.
• At the voicemail notification, select Call to call
your voicemail number and follow the system
prompts to retrieve the message.
Select Ignore to clear the notification without
checking messages. The notification icon
remains on top of the screen until you listen to
the message
• When only the voicemail message icon
appears on top of the screen, select
Voicemailand follow the system prompts
to retrieve the message.

either hit *86 or hold the 1 button down till it calls voicemail..if it asks for your security code which should be last 4 of phone number and its not valid then you have to call the provider to get them to set it up

What service provider? With T-Mobile you simply hold the #1 key for a couple seconds and it takes you to your voicemail. Check with your cellular company.

Are you not able to retrieve new voicemails or only saved voicemails? Occasionally your carrier may delete old saved voicemails to make room for new ones.

If you want to save all old voicemails on your computer forever, you can sign up for a service like youmail.com

Click on Menu=>Messages, scroll down to Voicemail. Now push the Men button (TOP button above round dial, center). Scroll down to Voicemail Setup and hit select. Put your cellphone # in (you may need to include the 1 first). Now you can retrieve messages by holding down the #1 button or the CALL button from the message screen.
