Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner
I have a duro therm rv air conditioner and when it runs it runs great. The problem I am having is that when the unit reaches the right temperature, the a/c stops working but continues to have a humming sound which I have to shut off with the breaker. I have replaced the contoller unit but to no avail. What else could it be? Joe Keegin
Sounds to me like your contactor switch is not fully disengaging when unit shuts off. The reason I think this is even though the unit itself shuts off there is still power going to the contactor but, once you shut power off to contactor by shutting off breaker you release contactor since there isnt any power left to cause switch to continue to be energized.
