Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a 46" Samsung flat screen HD 1080p that was working fine when turning it off last night. This morning when I turned it on I could hear audio and could see screens served by Comcast digital cable but the programming picture was black. In other words, everything seemed to work fine (audio, cable signal, could turn channel, receive digital cable info, etc.) but the screen appeared black.

46" Samsung LCD, no sound output whatsoever

First try hooking up a different source such as a DVD player or Cable box and see if you have audio. If you do then check the audio output from the computer. If you do not have audio then make sure the tv audio is up half way and turn off the set. When you do this you should hear the down chime provided you have the chime turned "on". If you do not hear the down or up chime then the sudio circuits on the Main bd are bad and the Main bd will have to be replaced. A quick way to check to see if the audio circuits are working is to listen for the up or down chime when turning on of off the set coming from the tv speakers speakers.

My Samsung SyncMaster 933 HD keeps turning on and off on its own. It won't actually start it's just turning off and on off and on. It was fine last night, I woke up this morning and now it wont work.

Sounds like the switch has a short in it. Try unplugging the unit for like a minute or so and see if that helps. If not, get your receipts ready. Please rate me
