Question about Samsung DLP HL-P5663W 56" TV

I have a 56' Samsung DLP TV that has purplish lines starting at the top of the tv and working their way down, when I pick up the TV and move it, they go away for a few minutes before starting over agin

Try reinserting all of your cables on the back of the tv and all of your sources. Chances are that one of the cables is not plugged in very good.

when the color wheel stops the picture will be all over the place. and you will have lines when it starts to fail as its not going fast enough for the picture. wining sound is it wearing out.

I looked up how to fix red horizontal lines on a Philips flat-screen tv. It turns out it needed the Y buffer upper replaced. I am not sure if this problem would be similar but it might help. I am also searching how to fix a fuzzy screen on a DLP tv. Hope you find what you need.

You are probably seeing what looks like Jail Bars (Vertical Lines evenly spaced) on the screen. If so,then the DMD chip on the DMD board is bad and needs to be replaced

if you say that your picture gets distorted you mean like it moves to a side? do you see a black middle block?

if it's a yes?

so its probably the light engine. you need to change it!
