SOURCE: motor feels bound and hard to turn...

If there is a capacitor on it, you could replace that. If there is no capacitor the starting switch is probably broken. If you are not used to working with electricity, either have someone qualified work on it or...BE CAREFUL!..God luck...Lee

Pump is making a buzzing/humming noise but is working

I suspect corrosion in the bearings, which means probably in the motor as well. If it runs nonetheless I'd just keep using it until it stops as once it gets to that stage it isn't economical to repair.

My battie light came in and didnt go off for a while it finally went off no the lights went dim and i had it busted and them started it up this morning then it dies again and now want start back

the battery light on the dash board turns on only if the battery is not charging
witch is means the problem basically on the (dynamo) itself and it probably affected your car`s battery as well
so you need to check the dynamo first check the dynamo belt
if not then you are facing a problem you`ll have to tail your car then have it`s dynamo checked at the work shop
the dynamo could have a bad regulators witch is something like ic or semiconductor thing
or the dynamo itself got melted cooper coils and it means you need to replace the whole dynamo
battery to be recharged and checked at the workshop and after the recharging completed if it found to be stop charging you will have to replace it also

You can have a mechanic run a fuel pressure test on the pump, should not cost very much, and that should confirm or deny the pump as the cause. The two problems may be unrelated. I think that the sudden stall (problem 2) is more likely an electrical problem of some kind. Do you ever get a check engine light, and do you know how to read the codes? Many auto parts stores will read codes for you at no charge.
My one experience with fuel pump failure was on a 1995 Chrysler minivan, no warning of any kind. I drove about 10 miles on the freeway, 60 mph, exited and stopped at the bottom of the ramp. After a few seconds, it started coughing and sputtering, the light changed and I was able to cross the intersection and pull into a parking lot. It died, and I think restarted once, and that was it. It was about eight years old with about 70,000 miles.
You might need to go to a reputable shop and pay for a diagnoses, you can spend a lot of money replacing good parts and not fixing the problem, if you are not careful.

Our dynamo CA04-26 pool pump is making a whining noise. Can we oil it somewhere? What could cause it to make this new high pitched sound?

The bearings are likely failing and they are not open to allow for re-lubrication. You can replace them yourself or take the motor to a local electric motor repair shop to have it done for you. A shop will probably cost about $40 to $50 for parts and labor. You should also replace the seal at the same time. The cost for the seal is under $10 and the labor shouldn't change.

Thank you for posting your question here on

Your motor bearings are failing. It is most often caused by a leaking pump seal. It is a relatively inexpensive repair if it is caught early enough; before the shaft is damaged from the corrosive water eating into the steel. Take it to a local electric motor repair shop for inspection. It will likely need a set of 203 bearings for the motor and a mechanical seal for the pump. All told, depending on the labor rates, it should be less than $75. You could try to repair this yourself however if you are not familiar with the process it is money well spent having someone who is do the repair for you.

Dynamo pump is locked--just hums

Try turning the motor from the back. Remove the end cover and turn the shaft. If it still hums the motor will need to be replaced.
