White speedylock serger 7340 I need the manual and the power cord and foot padel

Singer has the manual for the White 7340 on their site, . Enter the model number and click Search. The direct link to the manual is,299-x.pdf . A universal cord and pedal are avalable here: . This site also has a printed copy of the manual for sale.

I hope this helps.

Light dims when you sew

the problem is that the cord that was replaced on it is too light for the sewing machine. some companies sell cords that are made with 18awg wire 18awg wire can only deliver enough electricity to run the motor sapping up all of the power from the light as soon as you push the pedal. you need to get a cord made by singer or rewire your cords with 16awg wire... 16awg wire is the standard wire for all vintage singer sewing machines it keeps the light nice and bright...... hope this helps

Foot pedal assembly for White sewing machine

You only need to replace the cord if it has been damaged. It will cost less if you just take the machine , cord and control to a local technician and have him just replace the foot control. Let him test it first. A generic foot control should cost less than $30.

Replacement parts

You can go into a full service service shop and they can order one for you. Ebay is also another great place to start. Its good to know what the plug looks like. Ebay currentlt has this power cord and presser foot for $34.99. Be carefull when ordering off Ebay look at the photos, many sellers are selling the presser foot without power cord and a live wire on the end where the cord should be, or the cord with a live wire where the presser should be, Make sure your getting the whole unit.
