gravity reset. seriously, hold it about 9" off the floor and drop it evenly. repeat if not fixed. this was in an oki tech bulletin. there is a ribbon cable deep inside that comes unseated. unless you want to take the ENTIRE printer apart perform the steps above. :)
i got that error on the first day i got my oki c5950 it was a result of a paper jam in the fuser unit, i removed the jamed paper but the error was still there, i contacted oki support and got a detailed explanation on how to fix this error with a patch file, so if u or anyone out there r still having that problem send me a mail on [email protected] and i will forward u the info.
good luck
I had this same problem with my MacBook Pro Intel notebook running the latest Mac OS.
I went to the OKI web site ( http://my.okidata.com/pp-C5200n.nsf/openingdrivermenu?OpenFrameSet ) and downloaded the OKI C5000 GDI Intel driver. I followed the install instructions to load the driver. Next, I went to system preferences and selected printers. Then I selected the + button under printers.
My current printers showed up on the list. I then selected "More Printers" and the other drivers loaded on my Mac were listed. One option was OKI USB. I selected this option THEN I plugged my USB cable from the OKI into my Notebook. The computer recognized the printer. I hit Save and I proceeded to print my first document.
FYI: I spent several hours trying to get this thing to work yesterday with the USB cable already plugged in. I don't know why it would not work. This worked for me. Good luck.
Load the paper between the guides on the MPT tray push the guides up to the edges (otherwise pressing the blue button won't work) then press the blue button on the right hand side of the paper. QED.
