Hi,
I have a Bose Lifestyle system with the Acoustimas subwoofer. It's about 4 years old. I know now that they are overpriced crap, but I am stuck with them. So, suddenly only one cube speaker output jack is working. I have a 5 cube speaker system, and the speakers are fine, just 4 of the 5 output jacks stopped working. In other words, I can only run a speaker off of the one working speaker outlet w/cable.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Carmen
Carmen, first try this. Take the output from the amp or receiever that does not work and switch the wires from an output from the amp or receiver that is working. If the problem stays with the same speaker, the fault is for sure in the speaker. If the problem moves to the other speaker, the problem is with your amp or receiver. In any case, I am afraid after these checks, the only thing a novice can do would be to take the defective receiver, amp, or speaker to a repair center for repair. Good Luck

Try to trace your problem inside the main circuitry of the jacks ( open it and see on the solder side of the Printed circuit board(where all the electronic components and soldered/welded if there are loose connections (small cracks... use magnifying glass if you have one) then solder them.
also check for the transistor amplifiers and output capacitors....
check also for the connectivity of all wirings!

Um, OK, but first off, I am a chick and don't know a transistor amplifier from my output capacitors. Also, you replied about the "Synsen 7" system. I have a Bose Lifestyle system - are we talking about the same thing?
Being an ametuer, is there a chance I can wreck something by opening the subwoofer up and tinkering with it? I really don't know what to look for. I could open it and look for cracks and get someone to do soldering, but the rest is beyond me. I am happy to pay more if I need more assistance from you to do it. I hate giving anymore $ to Bose for repair.
Thanks,
Carmen

As I mentioned in my post, the speakers are fine, it's 4 out of 5 outputs jacks not working. So, ofcourse, I already did a rudimentary check to see if it was the speakers or the subwoofer/amp.
So, thanks for you reply, but it does not really address my problem.
