Question about Zanussi WJS1397W Front Load Washer / Dryer
When using this washing machine, it keeps stalling on the beginning of programme "F" (hand rinses). If i manually move it along to the next programme "G" (spin cycle), it just stalls at the beginning of the cycle (again) and the drain pump keeps spinning. Yes, the filter is clean, water does come out of the drain and the drum does move under its own power witout any problems.
I hope its not part of the electronics - they are properly expensive.
My only thought (i havnt taken this washer aprt for this problem yet) is that i could be a dead water level sensor that keep telling the washing machine that its still full of water.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Most possible reasons that the door switch or timer unit is defective. The dishwasher should heat the water to about 55 C as the heating cycle starts. In these cycle, the dishwasher pauses after has filled with water and wait for the water to reach the temperature. If the water isn't being heated (because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. if you think that a user manual may help you more, it can be downloaded ($8.95) at url: http://www.download-manual.com/shop/Zanussi-FLE1416W-User-Manual-pr-8261.html

motor brushes can be replaced in situ but you will find it easier to remove the motor.
take the rear cabinet half off and undo electrical connections to motor. motor is held in by 4 bolts. undo and motor will slip out.
brushes are located towards the end away from the pulley and held in by 2 small bolts. undo, withdraw brushes and see if badly worn
easier way is to check continuity across the brushes with the motor in situ using a multimeter

With the symptoms you describe i would suspect a intermittent heater element fault as you are getting earth leakage current which is tripping the whole supply rather than a current overload which would just trip the socket circuit breaker. Get the heating element checked over first as this is the most likely cause.
