Seems like your player can't tell when the head unit is in or out.

This could be caused by a faulty/dirty/oxydized sensor (or switch) inside the unit which is activated when the head is fully out or in (could also be a bad cable or foil cable from the sensor/switch). If there's a certain part (a plastic pin or something alike) that presses the switch (or blocks/unblocks the sensor), check it, it might be bent or broken.

it could, however, be some other problem, but the head unit position sensor/switch is the first thing that comes to my mind.

I have an old RCA VCR,model VR622HF, when I attempt to record PRO-TEC PLUS, it asked for a code ? I don't have the book

The best way I know of is to carefully (after unplugging of course) locat th screws (hint - sometimes they love to hide them under stickers/rubber "feet" etc. - run your finger over the stickers while pressing hard, and you will be able to find a "circular indent where a screw hole is hiding) that allows the main shell/case case to be taken off. Generally this will allow you access to the area where the tape is mounted/tangled. From there, just carefully untangle.

Before re-assembling the VHS machine, take a q-tip with some alcohol or ethanol (non-scented nail polish remover), and lightly rub the mirror-like-surface cylinder (the playing head) inside the machine - all the way around. Dirt can accumulate on this head and will catch the tape to tangle it. This is likely why it got caught in the first place. Continue cleaning the head until the Q-tip shows no more dirt. I also used to clean any place the tape touched in sie the machine in this way (spools, etc, it want around that were obviously metal).

To wind the tape back up onto the cassette, locate the "button" on the side that allows you to flip open the front of the cassette (the hinged part that protects the tape but flips up when inside the machine), flip the front up and keep it lifted (temporary piece of tape, or rubber band arnound the entire cassette - whatever).

Look at the bottom of the tape and you will see a hole centered, and towards the top of the back side. you need to insert something into this hole and apply pressure. While keeping the pressure there, you can manually turn the cassette wheels to wind the tape back on.

Head unit will not power up it was working fine and just stopped. Eject button still works?

If its a flip down, or a detatchable face, you can always try cleaning the terminals on the back of the face. If these are dirty, they can causebad connections.

How to remove the head what is the rotation?

It here are holes in the arbor of the gear drive (above the string-head) insert a small Phillips screwdriver or the equivalent to jam it and turn the string head off. If not, you will have to go further up the shaft to where the split boom separates and lock up the end of the flex drive there to keep it from turning. Rotation to get it off should be the normal (counterclockwise) looking down at it with the unit flipped over.

Lg split indoor fan runs non stop

Hello Hamid,
The unit is designed to run the indoor fanmotors continuously when in cooling mode on both indoor units (evaporators). The reason is that this circulates the air and the temperature thermistor or sensor is able to sense return air temperature and in turn start or stop the outdoor unit and compressor as required according to the setpoint temperature. The reason for either unit not reaching setpoint temperature can be a couple of reasons. A) Incorrect design - the unit may be too small for the application. You can calculate this roughly at 650BTU per square meter of room in a relatively warm ambient climate. Or secondly B) The outdoor unit has leaked and is short of refrigerant. You can check this when the outdoor unit is running by feeling the thicker copper tube on the right hand side of the unit. This should be cool to cold. If no temperature difference is felt, it is short of refrigerant. Hope this helps you. Goodbye

The Unit is getting Power, but the Head Unit, which flips forward is not. I think that the connection between the two needs to be cleaned, so does anyone know how to disconnect the head unit from the base...

there are two screws on left and right of display on the arms that it flips . take them out and you can slip it off now the ribbon is probably bad so dont be suprised if it tears when you try to remove it . they are such a tight fit i doubt if the connection is dirty they break from the constant bending ..

Remote works, but not the reciever

This one is tough one. It soundslike you have lost the connection between the flip face and the main head unit. I suggest you pull the head unit and get it to a bench for closer investigation. Look for and tears in the connecting wire harness between the Flip control, and the main Unit.

My head unit is awkward.

Check the wire braid going out to the faceplate. Although this is a fancy feature. it is very problematic. But usually it looks like a flat plastic strip with brown stipes on it. Sony calls it a flexible circuit board. after so many flips wires break the buttons stop working and when the face gets just is the right place it stops turning. but is repairable if you can order the braid from Kenwood about a skill level five to put in.
