I've tried all the **** people have told me to do- so I just deleted a;ll my mods that I put into the game...and now I'm re-install the game..again.
If that gives you any ideas- I hope it helps... sorry.
All recent versions of widows contain features called AutoPlay and AutoRun. AutoPlay lets you choose which program to use to start different kinds of media, such as music CDs, or CDs or DVDs containing photos. For example, the first time you try to play a music CD, AutoPlay asks which media player you want to use, if you have more than one installed on your computer. You can change AutoPlay settings for each media type.Autorun is the technology used to start many programs or enhanced content (such as videos on a music CD) automatically when you insert a CD or USB drives into your computer. This is different from AutoPlay, but the result are the same, when inserted, the CD or USB drive starts automatically, using a particular program. Autorun is incorporated into the media types that use it, and you can't modify it. When a disc is inserted or a drive is connected to your computer, Windows looks in the root directory of the disc or drive for a file named autorun.inf. If found, Windows executes the instructions in that file. ( whether it be start the music or install the virus.) For example, an autorun.inf file on a CD might contain a line that reads open=setup.exe. This tells your computer to launch a setup program as soon as the CD is inserted into the drive
Removable USB/thumb drives use the Autorun feature to load files when the drives are plugged into the USB port. Malware exploits the Autorun feature to spread from thumb drive to PC. Disable the autorun feature to prevent malware from spreading. For XP users: 1.Click Start and then click Run. Type gpedit.msc and click OK. The Group Policy window will open. 2. In the left pane, double-click Administrative TemplatesIn the right pane, double-click System, scroll down the list and double-click Turn Off Autoplay
3.In the Turn Off Autoplay Properties window, select Enabled. From the dropdown next to Turn Off Autoplay on, select All drives and then click OK. 4.Exit Group Policy by selecting File, then choosing Exit from the menu.
To play a game on PC, you need to pass few bunch marks.
The Game should be Properly installed and registered. If the Game is not installed into Computer yet, Please insert the Game Disc. There will a setup file (Installer) to install the game. Many commercial games requires registration before we could play the game.
Your PC must meet the hardware resource requirements for the Game. Many Games are Resource intensive. Many need extra hardware resources like a Good Graphics card, Physical Memory (RAM) etc. Many games will specify their minimum hardware configuration required to play the game smoothly, on their Disc Packs.
Your Game and Operating System should be Authentic If your game disc is not authentic or legal, Operating System will prevent the game from running. The same will do for the Operating Systems also. So if you got the Disc illegally, you may need to crack or patch it run.
Auto running Feature should be turned on. Many Operating Systems features Auto Running the Disc. That is, if you put the disc on computer, it will run automatically without any user interactions. If your Current Operating System does not have Auto Running Feature (Many new Operating Systems have this feature and its set to On by default) or its set to disabled mode, you can browse the disc and run it manually. You can find the executables in the Disc to run the game. Usual Autorun executables have name one of Installer, Autorun, setup.
Your Anti-virus may interrupt the game. If you have an anti-virus software, then it may interact with the game's normal play and stop it from playing. This is due to the fact that, many Anti-virus Software mistakenly think the game as a virus and stop it from running. So if you have an anti-virus software, please set it to Game Mode or Disabled Mode
When you put the disc in an Autorun should come up asking you to install, after clicking install you should follow the instructions displayed on screen.
If the Autorun doesn't display go to My Computer, right click on the disc drive, and select Autorun to bring it up.
If this doesn't work right click on the disc, click open, then find the file 'setup.exe' double click this and the installer should launch.
if it freezes and then continues to move, this is definitely because your system might not reach the necessary system requirements. there are a few things you can do. one of them is for you to go through the readme text in the game folder and look at the system requirements or the minimum system requirements if you would prefer that. this should show you where your computer is lacking. another thing is for you to try to free up some space on the hard disk and also try to run less programs while running the game as this would help free some virtual memory for the smooth running of the game as the computer would be processing less data. if you can acquire a copy of bit defender anti-virus, it would really help because it comes with a package called game mode which helps you to manage active tasks or processes while you play your game. hope this helped you? please rate
