Worse case scenario, you can reset the router by holding the reset button in with a paperclip for 30 or more seconds.

Try admin as the username, and leave password blank. if that doesnt work, type admin into both the username and password

SOURCE: When I origionally set up my wireless router I set

On the computer that you use the to configure the router for the first time, there should be a "linksys.txt" file on it. You should find all the router info there. If you don't have it anymore, the only option is to reset and reconfigure the router.

Cant remember my sign in info

If you do not remember your sign-in information for your wireless router, my suggestion would be to reset it back to factory settings, and then set the router back to settings that are a known quantity.

To do this: push the sharp end of a safety pin in to the small round hole on the back of the router labeled reset. Hold it there for 20-30 seconds and then release the pin from the hole.

Next, connect your computer by wire to the router and in the address bar of your web browser type HTTP://192.168.1.1

When the web page asks you for your password username and password put in admin for the username and admin for the password.

This will allow you to login to the router and set everything back to the way you want it.

Once you set it all back to how you want it, write down your passwords for WiFi and administration access and store them in a safe place so you can always remember how to get back in to the router's settings.

How do i figure out my network password

If you can't remember your password reset your router back to it's factory settings by holding the reset button for about 5 seconds. You model/brand of router was not provided however you can google what your default IP address/default username/default passwords are, for example search for "Netgear router default IP address" once you are connected to your router simply run the Setup Wizard. Set your SSID as something you'll remember like "Mavericks Network" and your Password can be your phone number for example 3109876543.

I want my password

If you can't log into the router, and can't remember your password, you will have to press the reset button on the router. It should be located on the back, but may vary from each manufacture. You will lose all your settings, but gain a chance to reset your password. If you can't log into the network, and can't remember your password, you will still have to reset the router to it's default settings by pressing the reset button.

I am trying to connect a new kindle to my existing wi fi (cisco linksys) but cannot remember the password I entered for my linksys.

I think you meant the access key password for your wireless security and not the password for the router itself (2 separate passwords).
I'll give you both solutions starting with the wireless key password.
1. access the router configuration page by typing http://192.168.1.1 in your browsr. 2. This should pop up a log in window asking for user name & password 3. The default settings for a linksys router say to leave the username blank and type admin for the password. 4. once you're in look for the Wireless tab and click it then click on wireless security 5. your password will be listed there in the shared key box.
Now if its your router access password that you need you'll need to reset the router if you can't remember it and then follow the steps above to create a wireless security password. Here's how you reset the router. Remember that all custom settings you may have set will be erased and the router will go back to original factory configuration settings
1. On the back of the router you'll find a small hole or indentation and it may or may not have the word reset printed by it. 2. Find a paper clip or something of the same size and use it to press the reset button for about 2-3 seconds 3. Router will be reset
Good luck

Belkin wireless g mimo router. i never set a

When changing the advanced settings on the Belkin router, you should change the default password.

To change the password, go to Administrator Password. Type in a new password. Make sure you remember the password, otherwise, you will need to reset the router back to default settings.

I hope this helps.

Trying to setup another device off the router and can't remember the password to let the device finish it's setup?

If you can't remember the password, just reset the router by pressing and holding it's small "reset button" for 30 seconds.
THIS WILL CAUSE IT TO LOSE ALL SETTINGS, but your password will be reset to the default one, "admin". You should change this password after reseting.
Try not to forget it again :-)

Reset password on model 615

The router login or wireless network password.

Login in using your browser and go to the wireless settings and set-up a wireless password/key. Remember the key because each device will now need it to connect. You can also turn OFF Broadcast SSID and your network name will not be shown on anyone's device. You must remember the network name when using this method.

The router password you will have to try The final solution is a factory reset of your router. You can do a factory reset by logging into the router using you browser. Go to the settings and perform a factory reset

If you forgot the router password, you ill have to do a factory reset by locating a small hold on the back of the router and insert the tip of of paper clip for about 10 seconds while the power is on. The router will be reset to out of box status and then you can set-up form scratch.
