How can Iget my fire registered

To buy content and deliver it to your device, you'll need to connect to a wireless network and register your Fire tablet to an Amazon account. Registering also allows you to transfer purchases between devices and Kindle reading apps. To learn more about connecting to a wireless network, go to Connect Wirelessly.
  1. From Home, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap My Account.
  3. Tap Register.
    • If you already have an Amazon account: Enter your Amazon account information, and then tap Register.
    • If you do not have an Amazon account: Tap Create Account, and then follow the instructions to set up a new account.

My device has stopped working. I can't get on wifi -- don't remember my password.

Your first answer is good. If you need to find the existing password, open your browser and type 192.168.1.1 . Use the password to open the router home page. Try "admin, admin". If that gets you onto the home page, try "Wireless settings", look for Wireless status. There will be three types of security i.e. . WEP, WPA2, etc. The one with several characters following it contains the password. Put this password into the receiving device.

How do I connect my new Lenovo A10 70 to the web

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Choose Wi-Fi to view a list of available Wi-Fi networks on the right side of the screen. Otherwise, the list shows up full screen.
  3. Choose a wireless network from the list. When no wireless networks are listed, you're sort of out of luck regarding Wi-Fi access from your current location.
  4. If prompted, type the network password.
Touch the Show Password check box so that you can see what you're typing; some of those network passwords can be long.
  5. Touch the Connect button.
The network is connected immediately. If not, try the password again.

How do get wi-fy on my tablet?

It's a good idea to access Wi-Fi whenever possible to avoid data charges. After you've activated the Android tablet's Wi-Fi radio, you can connect to an available wireless network. Obey these steps:
  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Choose Wi-Fi.On some Samsung tablets, you find the Wi-Fi item on the Connections tab. Choose Wi-Fi to view a list of available Wi-Fi networks on the right side of the screen. Otherwise, the list shows up full screen.
    433273.image0.jpg
When the tablet is connected to a wireless network, you see the Wi-Fi Connected status icon. This icon indicates that the tablet's Wi-Fi is on, connected, and communicating with a Wi-Fi network.
Some wireless networks don't broadcast their names, which adds security but also makes connecting more difficult. In those cases, touch the Add icon. This icon might also be labeled Add Wi-Fi or Manually Connect. To make the connection, type the network name, or SSID, and choose the type of security.
You also need the password, if one is used. You can obtain this information from the girl with the pink hair who sold you coffee or from whoever is in charge of the wireless network at your location.
  • Not every wireless network has a password. Still:
  • Be careful when connecting to a non-password-protected network. It's possible that the Bad Guys can monitor such a network, stealing passwords and other information.
  • Some public networks are open to anyone, but you have to use the web browser app to find a login web page that lets you access the network: Simply browse to any page on the Internet, and the login web page shows up.
  • The Android tablet automatically remembers every Wi-Fi network it has ever been connected to and automatically reconnects upon finding the same network again.
  • To disconnect from a Wi-Fi network, simply turn off Wi-Fi.
  • Use Wi-Fi whenever you plan to remain in one location for a while. Unlike a mobile data network, a Wi-Fi network's broadcast signal has a limited range. If you wander too far away, your tablet loses the signal and is disconnected.

Network Connections

I'll give you a generalized answer because I am not familiar with the tablet you are using. The the principle is the same for all wireless devices. Go to their version of SETUP for wireless networks (for example, on the IPAD it looks like a gear symbol) and select the right network which will be chosen from a list they provide of nearby networks. You need to know the name of the network you're trying to get on. Don't try to type it. Select it from the list of available networks. When you do, it will most probably ask for the network password or key which you need. If you don't know it, then you need to find it. Sometimes it is on the base of the modem. Type it in carefully noting the caps and don't mix up zeroes and letter O, etc. It sounds like a password problem you are having so do this carefully. If it does not work, and If you use the network for your phone also, you can try logging the phone off the network and then logging back on with the password you think is right to confirm if it is a password problem but... if the password you are trying is wrong, you will now not be able to get your phone back on the network until you find the right password. Then you will also know how to fix the tablet log on as well. Hope that helps.

I can not connect my kinle paper white to my home hub a nd i am using the password supplied

No. You are probably typing in the Router Password. This is NOT what you need.

There is another reference that is called your Wireless Network SSID
and under that is the KEY or WAP or something else.
That KEY is what you type in when prompted for wi-fi password (confusing, but that's life)

Rememeber it is case specific - if it says F it means F and not f

I have an Arnova 9G2 tablet and a Netgear WNDR3300 wireless router. How do I add the wi fi network to the tablet? I donot have any SSID for the router.....

Without the SSID, you can't add the Arnova tablet to that network. The default SSID for the WNDR3300 is NETGEAR. You'll need to log into the router (preferably with a device on the wired network ports). Make sure that the wireless network is on and broadcasting its SSID for the 2.4GHz network. Confirm the password (passkey) and the encryption protocol. (The default user name and password for the router is in the manual, see page 19 (page 23 on the PDF) of http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WNDR3300V1/WNDR3300_SM_12Nov07.pdf . )

The tablet will look for available networks after you go to the Settings menu on the Home screen. Go to the Wireless & Network. Then turn on the Wi-fi (if needed) and then go to Wi-fi settings. Then find the SSID and enter the password and encryption type.

I hope this helps.

Will not connect to wifi

  • Touch the Apps Menu button on the Home screen.
  • Open the Settings app.
  • Choose Wireless & Networks.
  • Choose Wi-Fi Settings.
  • Ensure that Wi-Fi is on.
When you see a green check mark next to the Wi-Fi option, Wi-Fi is on.
  • Choose a wireless network from the list.
Available Wi-Fi networks appear at the bottom of the screen. When no wireless networks are listed, you're sort of out of luck regarding wireless access from your current location.
    Optionally, type the network password.
Touch the Password text box to see the onscreen keyboard.
Touch the Show Password check box so that you can see what you're typing; some of those network passwords can be long.
    Touch the Connect button.
You should be immediately connected to the network. If not, try the password again.

    Can not get to wifi

Wi-Fi technology enables wireless Internet and network access through public and private hot spots.

These hot spots are widely located in homes, restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops and other businesses, so you can keep connected wherever you may travel.

To connect to Wi-Fi, you must have an enabled wireless adapter on your computer.

Most modern laptops and many desktops have this adapter built into the system, but many lack such capabilities.

However, a wireless adapter is easily installed via USB, which allows you to connect to available networks through Windows 7.

Enable your wireless adapter. Most laptops have a hot key labeled with a radio antenna.

Hold the "Fn" key and press this key to toggle wireless on or off.

Desktops likely have a physical antenna on the back of your computer that is typically always on. If you don't see such a hot key or antenna, you need to acquire a USB wireless adapter.

Attach the USB wireless adapter to an available USB port on your computer.

Windows 7 will automatically install the necessary drivers for most adapters.

If it does not, insert the CD that came with the USB wireless adapter into your drive and choose to install their drivers.

Restart your computer if you do not see a wireless icon in your Windows 7 notification area.

Click the wireless icon in the Windows 7 notification area and click the network name to which you want to connect.

If this is your home network, the correct network will likely be the one with the strongest signal.

Click "Connect" and enter the wireless security passphrase, if required.

Only secured networks will ask for a passphrase, but some public networks will require browser authentication instead.

Open your browser and navigate to any website.

If the hot spot requires browser authentication, your website request is redirected to an information page.

Follow the instructions on this page to get Wi-Fi.

This may entail clicking "Accept," entering a given password or entering a cell phone number.

After authentication, attempt your website again to verify accessibility.

    Hope this helps

I have an hp tablet PC touch screen and I can't conected to the wireless at home. Can you help me

You'll want to connect with an ethernet cable to your router and open the configuration page (usually 192.168.1.1 or something similar - check your instructions) using your web browser. Check your instructions for default username and password. Once in the router configuration2_bing.gif utility, you'll have the opportunity to set your network name (SSID) and select the security you want. WPA is best (more secure than WEP, which is easily hacked). Enter your security passkey/phrase and save your configuration. Go to your wireless computer, search for available networks, find your SSID, click to connect, enter your passphrase and you should be good to go.

p.s. make sure that the router is broadcasting a compatible version that your wireless network adapter can accept: i.e. a computer with a wireless b/g network adapter can not connect to a wireless N network. If this is the problem, go into your router setup and change it to broadcast in b/g/n.

Did this resolve your issue? If so, please rate it. ty.
