SOURCE: Sony Bravia KDL52XBR5 picture blanks out using HDMI port

I think this has to do with the cable box not liking the encryption thing going on with the sony tv. The cable boxes probably don't understand it fully and therefore you have intermittant problems. I would just use component inputs. Which are analog and no encryption problems. I hope this was helpful. I bet it doesn't happen using a sony DVD Player or a blue ray DVD Player either. Sony, Sony, Sony.....Good stuff...but they have their moments. Let me know if u come up with a fix for this and then i will post it on my fix it list.. Thank you again..GURU JAY

SOURCE: Unable to use PS3 on HD channel

1. Connect PS3 to your TV
2. Select the Correct HDMI input on your TV
3. Press and hold the [power] button on the PS3
4. perform setup.

These are the steps to setup the video output for the PS3, It is possible that it is set to a resolution that your TV does not support.

If this doesn't work, you may want to contact Sanyo to ask if they have some protection circuit for the HDMI input. Some manufactures TV's will deactivate(turn OFF) the HDMI input under certain conditions. Unplugging the TV or some other procedure usually turns it back ON.

SOURCE: PS3 not working on reg tv's after HDMI use on LCD HD tv

Shelley,  the fix for this is simple! Hold down the power button for about 5 seconds and the system will beep. This resets the video setting for your ps3 from HD too whatever the current cables are that you are using too hook up too the tv. This works on my PS3 which I just bought about 3 months ago and should work with the older ones.

SOURCE: HDMi ( no signal, not supported) doesn't work with Dmr-Ez47v

Any HDMI cable manufactured in the last couple of years should all be HDMI 1.1 compliant, your problem is most likely the logic board in the TV itself or the HDMI connector on the logic board has a bad connection..

Have you tried hooking-up a standard DB15 VGA cable to the AKAI TV and your laptop?

If this works your problem is in the TV and will most likely have to be repaired to receive the HDMI signal since your Panasonic DVR and your laptop are not recognized by the HDMI input on the TV.

Good luck!

SOURCE: Toshiba 32AV500U HDMI issues

The Toshiba 32AV500U cannot display 1080p. Hook up your PS3 to your computer monitor, provided that it can display 1080p, or some other TV that can, then change your Video Output settings under Settings> Display Settings and uncheck 1080p, which will allow the PS3 to display in 1080i. Once you do that, then hook up the Toshiba via HDMI and it will work with no problem.

My ecco 32 has sound bt no pictures its white

There could be several reasons for this issue, and it would be helpful to know more about the specific model of your TV and any troubleshooting steps you have already tried.
Here are a few possible causes of the issue you are experiencing:
  • A faulty HDMI cable or port: If you are using an HDMI cable to connect your TV to another device (such as a cable box or streaming device), try using a different HDMI cable or port to see if that resolves the problem.
  • A problem with the TV's display: If the TV's display is damaged or not functioning properly, it could cause the picture to not show up. This could be due to a hardware issue and may require professional repair.
  • An issue with the TV's settings: It's possible that the TV's picture settings may be set to a mode that is causing the picture not to display. Try going into the TV's settings and checking the picture mode to see if that resolves the issue.

No video signal using HDMI cable.

This sounds similar to my Vizio's second HDMI port; they sometimes become finicky after a while. You may have to just adjust and wiggle the end of the cable inserted into the TV; if it works, then make sure you don't even slightly touch it or else it'll lose signal again. If you have any other ports, try them instead; otherwise the problem may eventually get to an unusable point. You will have to have the port repaired or the TV replaced.

VIZIO P50HDTV10A PICUTURE FLICKERS IN AND OUT CONTINIOUSLY WHILE WATCHING TV. PICTURE DOES NOT FLICKER IF WATCHING VIDEOS.

HI, you can do these troubleshooting steps and get back to me..

Instructions

Check the video connection of any devices plugged into the LCD television. If you can hear sound but are seeing no picture while trying to use something like a DVD player or cable box, the problem is probably that a wire is loose somewhere. Check the yellow video cables running from the DVD player to the TV and make sure everything is plugged in firmly and where it should be. Also check the coaxial cable running from the cable box (or cable outlet) to the television and make sure that wire is also screwed in securely.

Check the image settings on your television and make sure everything is set properly. Certain settings like "Picture" or "Brightness," if set to one extreme, can make the picture appear completely black. This could cause you to simply hear television shows but not be able to see them. Reset all picture settings on the TV to their original factory default settings to see if that fixes the problem.

Try another channel. If you're watching TV and not getting a picture, the first thing you should do is check a variety of random channels to make sure it is a problem with your TV and not with your television signal. If it is a problem with the television signal it is the fault of the TV station or cable service provider and there isn't anything you can do yourself to fix it.

Try the DVD on another DVD player. If you're trying to play a DVD and can't see any images, make sure the disc isn't defective. Try it on another DVD player or a computer DVD drive and make sure the disc works in the first place.

Hope it helped ..

I have bose v30, dishnetwork 612 dvr. When

I recommend you switch from using HDMI cables to using component (R/G/B RCA-style) cables. HD picture is superior through component cabling, and solves several HD picture issues.

What is happening is that when video resolution changes (like from regular programming to commercials) the video information is poorly sent down the HDMI line. Component cabling from your DVR will eliminate this problem.

I hope that helps.

Picture turns into looking like a reverse negative

Often you will get a bluish or reddish looking picture if your wires from your cable box/satellite or DVD player are inexpensive RCA type video cables. Try using a nice set of component cables or HDMI cable from your sources to your TV. If this is your setup, try this first...its the most inexpensive first option.

Picture goes to a lime green fuzz and then no piture or sound!

which AV connection are you using? HDMI or the cable supplied with the PS3, If using HDMI, you have to set the PS3 visual settings to HDMI, to do this, use the cable supplied with the PS3, and have the HDMI cable plugged in. Then while using the cables supplied with the PS3, switch the settings over to HDMI, then change the TV's input selector to your HDMI and confirm the settings changes. Hope it helps take care
