How do I retrieve my hotmail emails from microsoft outlook

If you have Outlook 2007 or later, adding Hotmail should be fairly easy. Click File on the ribbon, and go to account settings. Click add an account.

Use the wizard, and since Hotmail is owned by Microsoft, you will only need your email address, and password.

Delete hotmail account

See the solution from Microsoft here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/account-close-account

The relevant section is as follows:

To close your account

  1. Go to the Microsoft account overview webpage, and then sign in with your Microsoft account.
  2. Click Close account.
  3. Verify that the correct Microsoft account appears, type your password, and then click Next.
  4. If you have one or more aliases associated with your Microsoft account, you'll be prompted to remove them. If you have a Hotmail account, click deactivate your Hotmail account.
    - or -
If you're closing your Outlook.com account, choose your reason for closing your account, and then click Deactivate account.

To close only your Outlook.com account

Your Outlook.com account will become inactive if you don't sign in for more than 365 days or within the first 10 days after signing up for your account. After an account becomes inactive, all messages, folders, and contacts are deleted, and incoming messages are sent back to the sender as undeliverable. If you want to close your account right away:
  1. Visit the close account webpage.
  2. Choose your reason for closing your account, and then click Deactivate account.

Outlook express mail keeps repeating- over and over

To fix the same messages coming from a POP account again and again:

Since Outlook Express has just lost even the rest memory of which mail it has already seen, expect all mail still on the server to be retrieve the next time you click Send/Recv. After that, mail retrieve should return to normal, however.

All duplicates already received can be eliminated fast with a duplicate removal tool.

I set up a hotmail account and am trying to link it to my Outlook XP Professional application. When I hit send/receive, I get error 0x800CCC33 - Access to account denied; verify that your username &...

I did find out that it is linked to the profile. I haven't deleted my profile yet because I haven't backed it up. However, other users on the same computer can send just fine. If you can, delete your windows profile and try it again. A re-install does not solve the problem because there is still profile information that isn't deleted when Outlook 2007 is uninstalled. Let me know if this helps and I am going to see if there is another solution so I don't have to delete my profile.

How can we use the outlook express 6 to check

Open Microsoft Outlook and from the "Tools" menu select "Email Accounts." The email account wizard will pop up.
Choose "Add a new email account" from the list of options and click the "Next" button. Then, select "HTTP" and hit "Next" again. Now you are ready to input information about your Hotmail account.
Select "Hotmail" from the drop down menu at the right. Enter the name that you want to associate with this account in the "Your Name" field. This is the name that appears when you send someone an email from Outlook.
Input your Hotmail email address in the "Email Address" field. Your user name will automatically be filled in when you do this.
Provide the password to your Hotmail account in the "Password" field. Put a check mark in the check box below if you would like for Outlook to remember your password. This will save you from having to enter your password every time you download your Hotmail email with Outlook.
Hit the "Finish" button to complete the setup of your Hotmail account. Now, when you select "Send and Receive" Outlook will synchronize with Outlook. Too see your Hotmail email, select "Inbox in Hotmail" from your list of mail folders.
