Download the Internet Explorer 8 and install it, this will automatically replace your IE7 with the new IE8.

Download and install again Internet explorer. If you have XP you will be asked to download Internet Explorer 8.

Internet Explorer 8 is part of Windows 7 and can be re-activated using the steps indicated in that page. Try them to see if them can help you solve your problem

Please follow the steps to resolve the problem you have with corrupt internet explorer

1. Download and Run the Following File to remove the internet explorer 8

http://sites.google.com/site/mic4je/IE7_easyremove.exe

Note : It also works for Internet explorer 7

2. Once the internet explorer is removed , Restart the computer Once

3. Download the Internet explorer 8 from microsoft site and install it

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/worldwide-sites.aspx

Note : Select the Region and your Operating system

4.Once installed - restart the computer again

just go to the control panel ...click on add remove software ..and from the list remove the Internet explorer ...This will roll back to the last internet explorer you had..If in the list there is not an Internet explorer program ..it means that indeed there was no installation and you are at the IE 6 now....In this case just download and try to install it again ..this time do not make anything else during ..and follow the instructions ..

Click On Start --> Control Panel --> Add Or Remove Programs --> Make Sure That The Show Updates Box On Top Of The Window Is Checked --> Find WINDOWS INTERNET EXPLORER 8 --> Click On Remove In Front Of It.

WINDOWS INTERNET EXPLORER 8 would be removed and will ask u to restart your system so kindly do that...

After The System Restarts, Follow These steps To Check Whether It Has Removed Windows Internet Explorer 7 as well and if it has you would not see WINDOWS INTERNET EXPLORER 7.

As Internet Explorer 6 Is Integral Part Of Windows XP You Won't See It In Control Panel.
