How do I stop the squeaking noise when pedaling the bike or using the elliptical option? I've tried lubrication. Only getting worse.

Have you lubricated all moving parts. Wheel bearings Chain and sprockets? Are there fenders if so are they a little loose?. Anything that is loose will vibrate and make a noise. Even dry pedals will make a noise. Crank also.Just a thought.

What is causing a creaking, squeaky noise to come from the right pedal on my sc5?

Your transmission chain and reduction pulley, and or step chain need to be checked.

It could just be the transmission chain is on just a little too tight, causing the creaking or that the step chain/s just need a little grease on them (which is likely the culprit to any creaking).

If you find you need need any further assistance we would be happy to help you out :) by chat at www.sportsmith.net or by phone at 888-713-2880

Machine squeaks

see the next steps and fix it. God bless you

Detach the ends of the pedals from the crank axles. Spread a layer of machine grease over the crank axles, then reattach the ends of the pedals.
2

Remove the bolts connecting the pedals to the swing arms. Detach the pedals from the arms, then spread a layer of machine grease over the axles on the swing arms. On some models, the bolts may also serve as the axles. Reattach the pedals to the arms.
3

Remove the bolts connecting the swing arms to the elliptical's upright. Detach the swing arms from the upright, then spread a layer of machine grease over the axles on the upright. Reattach the arms to the upright.

Left side its sqeak when i peddle

My Precor EFX 546 elliptical trainer began squeaking when my weight was on the pedals. I thoroughly cleaned the track and wheels with Windex and then used my finger to apply a thin coat of teflon based lubricant (Tri-Flow brand) to the outer surface of the wheels. After 2 applications of lubricant, the squeaking has been eliminated completely. Hope this helps!

I've got some roughness in the left pedal spindle. I noticed the left pedal squeaking yesterday. I put some lube on it after my ride which seems to have done the trick with the squeak. Pedals about 7...

bobby, if it was feeling rough or if it squeaked as well, but oil made it seem better (or not, does not matter), the pedal bearing is defective and should be replaced by the maker if the pedal is under warranty. I presume they'd replace the pair, though it is unlikely for both pedals to be bad, you'd want a cosmetic match, natch.

Scraping/Squeaking noise on recumbent stationary bicycle

There are most likely some sort of bearings inside the wheel hub that are causing this.

Proform XP110 R recumbent bike makes clanking noise.

I have the same problem with my XP 110. After taking the ENTIRE thing apart and independently testing every single moving mechanism, I found out that it wasn't the motor, pedals, armbars, or any internal mechanism. Instead, it was the front stabilizer foot that made the annoying noise. There is a plastic mechanism around the front stabilizer legs that holds the front wheels in place (for moving the elliptical). Whenever a rotation forward occurs, the plastic squeaks and the noise resonates to make it sound like the pedals or motor is squeaking. I am still trying to find a solution to fixing the feet, but may end up ordering a new set from the manufacturer. Good luck with your elliptical!
