If it comes on at all, its not the power box but the motherboard

Hi, I have a Compaq PSU (PN: 230822-001) from a HP Proliant server. I am try to test the output of the unit but need to 'enable' it using the pins on the back... Do you have any information...

OUTSIDE of a redundant PSU - The power supply is very inexpensive and can most likely be bought from any of your computer retailers, Amazon - Just make sure to confirm the right model type of power supply. BEST to have it tested before replacing it. To make sure that is the issue.. Many computer shops will test for free.

Computer wont boot up. no fan, nothing. tried to unplug and re plug.... nothing. suspect power supply. how difficult to replace?

Your power supply is very easy to replace. All you want to make sure to do is to connect the old cords to the corresponding slots on your new power supply. Here is a guide to replacing a Power supply. Here is a link to a new equivalent power supply.
Your old power supply had a small history of the fan burning out and overheating the power supply.Hope this helps

Hi guys, i have a power supply HP-Compaq-226519-001 bought from ebay. the seller said it is a working pull-out and i was able to locate the AC input terminals/pins as well as the DC output terminals but...

Go to this link. Click HERE. Unplug from the motherboard FIRST. (all other leads too) You can test by using a paper clip to short pin 14 (green) to 13,15,16, or 17. This will power on a working power supply.

I have an Antec Truepower 2.0 TPII-430. This power supply provides power to the fans but when I push the computer power-up button, nothing happens. I installed another similar power supply and everything...

Test it. Unplug the molex connector from the mothrboard. You can use a wire or a paper clip to test it to power on. You will connect (short) pin 14 to and ground pin. (diagram here) For example, put one end of the paper clip into pin 14, and the other end into 13, 15, or 16. If the power supply turns on and fan running then maybe a problem with the front panel switch on the computer case.
P.S. make sure you unplug all other leads to drives before doing this.
