Question about Ryobi Three Trimmer Combo
Remove fuel line and replace with a new one long enough to reach outside the tank, then hook up the filter and pull back thru and cut off excess

While that answer is correct, please allow me to expand on it. You need to push the replacement fuel line into the tiny hole that it came out of. You keep feeding more line until it comes out the filler spout. Then you can attach the fuel filter and pull the replacement line back out until it is the correct length. At that point, you cut it off.
This means that you need about a foot of replacement line, even though you are actually replacing a section that is only about four inches.
It seems to be a fairly common problem that this line breaks.
