I have this camera which has been perfect until now. The camera still appears to work, the flash goes and the battery is OK, but when looking thru the viewer, its black and when taking the photo, its black. The flash still goes and the camera still appears to take the photo, its just all black. Can anyone shed some light please?
I'm having the same problem with Ex-Z1050. Can someone help?????

I turn the camera on and the view screen is black. I tried taking a picture and when I download it the picture is there but because the screen is black you can see the picture on the camera only on the computer after it's been downloaded???

On my ViviCam 5388 I get a black viewer and black photos. Camera turns on and all the rest seems fine.

hi i have the same camera and the same thing happened to my camera.everything works but the screen went black.please let me know if there is a solution to this.

well personally i think u might of umm pressed the finepix button

its the one thats on the top right hand corner

if u press that and then go to the bottom and press right

u hav a selection between black or colour

just choose one and thats the colour that will turn out

I switched my camera on, the zoom comes out, the shutter is closed, so I used my finger lightly to open theshutter, now all is okay.

THE MOST LIKELY REASON FOR THIS COULD BE EITHER THE SHUTTER IS NOT OPENING(IN THIS CASE WHEN YOU HALF PRESS THE CLICK BUTTON YOU SEE SOME SORT OF SNOWY PICTURE )IF NOT THEN THE CCD HAS GONE FAULTY AND IN BOTH THE CASES THE HARDWARE NEEDS TO BE CHECKED THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT YOURSELF
