Sorry, but we don't sell anything -- the advice is free, though. Your best bet for the best price on a replacement battery is eBay.

My kodak z712 is won't turn on. New batteries. The lens extends and then goes right back and off

You say new batteries - does that include the tiny ones, that keep the clock and other internal functions going? If not, check those, too. They are usually located in a different place than the larger batteries.
Also, make sure you put the new batteries in, in the right order.

My Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS problem is with the batteries. I'm using the Kodak Digital Batteries and they will only last about 30 minutes..even when I just use the viewfinder instead of the LCD. My son can...

I've had the exact same problem with mine. My wife was ready to buy a new one, but I didn't want to giveup the nice optical zoom on the Z712 IS. Checking out the web and a friend of ours with the same camera, it appears to be a common problem. My last time to try the camera, I took 19 pictures on brand new batteries and they died. The Kodak site doesn't really acknowledge a problem with the camera, but I found the latest firmware (1.06) and just walked around the house taking pictures with flash. At 25 pictures, I'm still going strong. Definitely worth a try to see if it fixes your problem: http://www.kodak.com/global/mul/service/downloads/DownloadFile.jhtml?locsvcsEntryPath=10807&product=EKN033025&operatingSystem=windows_xp&lang=en&type=firmware&downloadId=dln00179_file1&variant=false&pq-path=14091

Battery life to short

Most re-chargeable batteries are 1.2V each, totalling 2.4V. The Z712IS Camera is designed for 3V operation. Therefore using 2 re-chargeable bats is not enough, UNLESS they are 3 or 3.7V.

Kodak Z712IS-batteries die so quickly

you can't really get around the fact that digital cameras create a heavy strain on batteries. rechargables are the only way to go with them. now about the chinese battery. the voltage may be fine but that is not under load (being in the camera during operation) so it's deceptive about the voltage.

Which batteries are the best? Can I use alkaline, lithium or any others with this camera?

Lithium is actually one of the most widely used as it contains a higher charge. As for alkaline batteries they dont hold a high charge and may cause problems with your digital camera.

I hope this has answered your question sufficiently. If you have more questions please post a reply. Thanks.

Kodak Z712 IS

How many pictures can you take with alkaline batteries?
The initial voltage of NI-MH is low and when it discharges, the voltage drop lower to a point where it is not high enough for the electric circuits of the camera. Alkaline batteries hold their voltage better.
Try SANYO eneloop recharchable batteries. They don't drop their voltage.
