RCA 52" projection HDTV starts flashing a little, cuts out

This has just started in the past week, and I'm hoping I can catch it early enough to save some money on any repairs. Please help me. The TV flashes quickly then either comes back or cuts off.

SOURCE: i own a 52 inch rca projection tv and last week

Most likely the Horizontal output transistor has shorted. When it shorts it causes the power supply to chirp. This is a common problem with this series of TV. Have a shop check it out. It should not be real expensive.

SOURCE: I have a RCA R56wh78 projection power button flashing green.

Thats the classisc sign that the CP150, CP114 and CP120 capacitors need replacement. You can get the repair kit called CP150, CP120 and CP114 at www.tvrepairworld.com which contains the capacitors and the CD with step by step instructions on how to do the repair.

Testimonial: "Thank you. I will try this. I just dont understand why it worked with all of the button pushing on the front of the tv. Is this going to be a hard job"

Your convergence has failed and needs to be repaired. You can call in a repair shop or you can get the parts and instructions from www.TvRepairKits.com and do the repair yourself. Its a fairly easy DIY fix.

Tv powers off and on about 3 times then a little black box in back starts sparking. Its a 52 inch RCA. Thanks.

Be careful , can start a fire, keep unplugged,. you may have to get a repair man to look at it. Sounds like a short to me.
