Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

How can i review images that i have transferred from my computer to the camera? I can view it in my computer, but i can't figure out how i can view the images from the camera..

It doesn't work that way. Your camera can't recognize the operating system of your computer. You can transfer pics from the camera to the computer but not the other way around. Now, you may experience trouble with your card when you try to use it in your camera. You may have to format it in the camera.

Camera will not operate with USB cable connected

It's a long shot but it might be a problem with the cable itself, or it could be a problem with your USB ports on your PC, not supplying enough power.
